In my hospital it says dad can stay with us 24/7. With me having to have a C section and I have pre-existing back
issues me and my partner have been thinking about him staying with me during the night time to help out? And having him go home during the day while my mum can visit. Anyone done anything similar?

I've just had a C section and my partner stayed with my 24/7 even though I was on a ward post op. You can have visitors come and go too so you can choose who you'd like there ❤️ good luck!!

With my first I was very ill after so they let my partner Stay , but with my second he had to go, as the hospital did not allow him to stay over night

I was on the maternity ward for a total of 15 days due to issues before my c sec (3 days were then post c sec) and my partner stayed overnight the entire time. They dont feed your partner nor provide pillows/blankets. My partner also had to sign a form to state he would follow all safeguarding rules on the maternity ward whilst he stayed. Visitors were allowed during the day too.

My partner stayed 24/7 and slept in the chair. I was in from Sunday at 11am until Wedneaday around 4pm.
Check hospital rules as my hospital only birth partners were allowed on the ward. No visitors where allowed at all at any time. This isn't common I think but is a rule at select hospitals.

Mine stayed with me the whole time I was there - about 4/5 days. He slept in the chair or on a yoga mat on the floor.

My partner was allowed. He just had to give his name and his details. He stayed the first night, then went to nap and sort out the babies stuff at home then came back to get us

(USA) my husband had to work up until baby was born (had month+ hospital before c-section) but he was allowed to come and go 24/7 and they had a couch for him and free(ish) food.
honestly anyone could have come, my mom came for a bit when he had to work and stsyed overnight and i had lots of visitors.
my husband was even allowed into the surgery with me (but it was sort if scheduled, so that might have been different for an emergency c-section)

My husband stayed with me the whole time, other than one afternoon where he went home to shower and get a few hours of sleep as he only had a recliner chair. He had to feed himself though and they didn’t give pillows/blankets. No problems for us at all 🙂

I was in for 2 nights and he napped in the recliner chair (we requested one) - I was at Watford. They were brilliant :)

My partner stayed with me and baby for 5 days and slept in the bath 😂😂
