Sleep routines..

At around 6m old, how long does it take to get your little one to sleep?! From starting a bedtime routine or pj change to the point where they’re actually asleep?

On a good day it’s taking us 45min-1hr. (including a feed). Is that normal?!

Getting her to sleep is easy, can do it in ten minutes, keeping her asleep is impossible- wakes every time I try putting her into the next to me 😫

It's been two hours tonight, including a 4yr old who had a 4pm danger nap. It's never less than an hour for us, including four stories.

We have started doing bath time around 5 and bedtime around 7 as we found that if he was already tired, bathtime was not fun and it also made bedtime routine a lot simplier and faster. Our current bedtime routine is sleeping bag, milk and he then falls asleep during the feed or within 5 minutes so I would say it takes 15-20 minutes including the feed

We have no set bed time. We get our 3 year old to sleep at 7ish. She’s has a solid bedtime routine.

Baby 2 usually goes to bed at 8ish, She will get really unsettled around this time. I go by her cues. I know a better routine will come. We go upstairs, change her, clean nappy, feed and she’ll be asleep within 5-10 minutes. I’ll let her sleep on me until she’s in a deep sleep. I go to bed with her and watch telly for a bit, she’ll be in bed with me and we have zero difficulties with her waking up after being put down.
