Exhausted

I’m 37 weeks and just totally exhausted, is anyone else the same? Feel guilty for not being productive as I’ve finished work and had grand ideas of sorting out every kitchen cupboard/shelf but a combination of pgp, insomnia and up 4-5 times a night to pee is meaning I just find the days so tiring. Tell me I’m not alone 🙈😅 also any energy boosting tips welcome (taking supplements, also started on some additional Floradix hoping that’ll pep me up…)

It's normal and not much you do will change it. Rest when you need to and be productive if/when you feel up to it. Some days will be easier than others. Nap during the day when you need to xxx

Im 36+4 and right now im lying on the sofa half asleep instead of working 😅 really feels like I've suddenly hit a wall of exhaustion this weekend!

Ive messaged manager to bring my week of half days forward to this week and im planning on taking some more annual leave next week to head out on mat leave sooner than planned.

No real advice I guess, just solidarity 💪

Solidarity here. I’m also 37 weeks today and had a small burst of energy yesterday to do some nesting bits. I’ve just started taking Spatone for my iron levels and think they’re helping because I feel a bit more human. I am still working this week though and wishing I’d brought my mat leave a week earlier, I’m so over going to work (even though I work from home!) it took me 20 mins to get dressed this morning (compression socks when 37 weeks pregnant are a nightmare 🤣) and I was running late.

Rest when you can, be productive when you feel like it. This is the one time you can get away with doing the bare minimum. Baby won’t judge our disorganised cupboards when they’re born 🤣

This makes me feel better that I’m not alone! Thanks ladies 😂 it’s my first pregnancy and I’m like wow I thought I was tired at 30 weeks but this is something else 😂

This is so normal, I am 37 weeks on Wednesday and feel the same, we are growing human beings so it’s reasonable to be tired haha

All I will say for any first time mummies here is that you will be more tired this side of birth than when baby is here ❤️ the last few weeks of pregnancy are harrrrd. You'll have better sleep and you'll be more comfy after baby is here xxx

Leaving baby in the car

Would you leave your baby locked in the car whilst you fill up with petrol and then go and pay in the shop for the petrol? Like is that allowed? I don’t have an option to to pay at the pump where I live you have to go inside, but I don’t want to get her out the car to then go in to pay to then bring her back out to put her back in the car

Baby Boy arrived Easter weekend

My baby boy was born on 2nd April at 9lbs 6oz via elective cesarean. I was desperately hoping for a VBAC but the system broke me in the end, they kept bringing me in for scan after scan and talking about his size, my age, low papp-a etc. I'm the end i wasn't strong enough against the tidal wave of the NHS but looking back i wish I had been more confident in my own ability so for all of you holding out for a vaginal labour I hope you get what you want x

My son was born with a hernia and is due an operation this week, but he's thriving and happy 😊

Fans

Which fan is everyone going for or loving? Didn’t realise how high the risk rate of SIDS drops with a fan so just thinking of which to get and where to place it near the bedside cot 🤔 any tips/reccomendations welcome

22 weeks honestly to be concerned about movement?

I’m 22 weeks pregnant with my first, I’ve been feeling baby move regularly for the past week, she doesn’t usually stop moving, but the last day or two I’ve not felt her as much, like the odd movement here and there but not as much as usual. Is it too early to be worried? I’ve been told that they don’t start regular movements till nearer 28 weeks but I’m just paranoid that I felt her so much before and now not as much.
