Would you leave your baby locked in the car whilst you fill up with petrol and then go and pay in the shop for the petrol? Like is that allowed? I don’t have an option to to pay at the pump where I live you have to go inside, but I don’t want to get her out the car to then go in to pay to then bring her back out to put her back in the car

No chance, I’d take my son every time just in case. Every time something has ever happened to a baby in the car I can guarantee their parent has always thought ‘they’ll be fine I’ll only be gone a second’.

I have done!

Absolutely not. Their safety comes before convenience.

Just curious, do you take them with you in the car seat? Or carry them?

I have but I tend to go to quieter smaller petrol stations and would be near the kiosk anyway. I wouldn’t feel comfortable if there was a long queue. That said I tried to avoid putting petrol in when I had them in the car.
Well mines 4 months. She screams blue murder when you’re getting her in or out the seat.
It’s not just about convenience. It’s about not disturbing her or causing a meltdown for the sake of 30 seconds to pay. The car seat is so heavy to manage on its own.
