How did you celebrate your baby's first birthday?

My little one is turning one soon, and I’d love to hear how other mums marked the day. Did you do a big party, a day out, or something simple at home?

We went to the sealife center in Birmingham and to build a bear to get his birthday bear! Then had a meal with my in-laws (he shares a birthday with his great grandad on his dad's side) and had a joint celebration. We went to my parents at the weekend to have a little get together there too with a meal and presents.

Started small- went to drive through safari but somehow now have a bday party this weekend😂

Cake at home just us three, softplay session just us three.

I just did a birthday dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse called Fogo De Chao . This year we gonna do a private movie night at a theater

Issues with community midwife’s

I’m 36+2 and I’m officially over the midwife care I have received, I’ve been dismissed multiple times on different subjects by multiple midwife’s in my community midwife team , I’ve not seen one consistently it’s been a group of 4 of them , I get told “ we will talk about that at the next appointment “ only to have somone else and it not be discussed & for my last 2 appointments I’ve been sent to maternity assessment .
I also asked not to see one of the midwives again and I was told it’s not possible and can’t garuntee it .

It’s causing me more stress now than anything is anyone else in the same boat ? Can I refuse maternity care going forward ?
I’m happy to go to maternity assessment if needed but I can’t with the community midwives anymore .

Hope at 3 months postpartum

People say the sun starts to come out at 3 months postpartum and slowly becomes enjoyable at 4-5 months, in this true, i have been reading mixed things, currently at 6 weeks postpartum and just surviving on hope things Will be better!!

Planned C section

Having my second baby and this time around I have to have a C section due to complications in my last pregnancy.
Could you give me your best tips and advice. I have no idea how to prepare or what to bring or use post healing!

Kick/movement count

Anyone else’s baby suddenly stop moving the moment it’s time to do your kick counts?
Like girl move your ass pls im trying to be responsible and do my damn kick count
