Daughter is now two with a gorgeous room and new toddler bed and I have no idea how to get her in there ðŸ˜

How old is your little one? Mine are 5 and 3 and I put them to sleep on my own cos my husband has this weird hyper energy that makes everything take longer than it should 😂
First I lie down with my 3 year old and read him a short story. Then I start my 5 year old’s story which normally bores the 3 year old to sleep 👀 when he’s asleep, I move over to the 5 year olds bed and finish his chapter in bed with him. We stick a tonie on, I set a 5 minute timer and then when that goes off I leave the room!

I went from co-sleeping with my daughter in my bed to co-sleeping with her on a floor bed in her room and then started leaving her in there at the start of the night then joining on her first wake up then her second wake up etc and she now spends most nights in by herself

Honestly there’s no really good way of doing it- yes you can do their bedroom up nice but until they get to a age where they understand & are happy to be in their room u are fighting a losing battle 🤣🤣 my 2 yr old has co slept with us since baby we did her room up recently bought her own bed she was interested for a bit now she couldn’t care less & she’s like nope no thanks when it comes to bed time 🤣 my other kids were the same tho it took a while

We co slept for the first 2-3 months, it was so hard getting her into her crib but we finally managed it with just being consistent in putting her in the next to me while she was sleepy but not asleep then staying near her if she woke up & she eventually took to it & stayed through the night rather than waking & coming into bed with us x

My son has a double (actually I think it's a king sized) bed in his room. I get in with him when he goes to sleep and if he wakes in the night. When he's asleep, I roll away and leave him to it. If he's having a really bad night, I stay with him.
