My husband blames me for being stuck with a child

During our last fight my husband told me that I saddled him with a family because I didn't get an abortion 5 years ago and it's basically my fault he's stuck with us. I know he meant it. I am just sad.

Eww leave him. Please tell me ur not a sahm. Im in so many fb groups and women come forward anon saying they wish they could leave their husband but dont have an income. I feel so bad for them. No one should feel stuck with a pos unsupportive husband. Also it takes 2 to tango so it sure as shit isnt ur fault u got pregnant tf. Some (not all) men truly aint shit. Im just so sorry mama. Wow.

You can't force an abortion on someone. What an awful thjng to say! Surely, he's not seriously thinking that you should have had an abortion against your will! Big hugs sis 🫶

I watch a lot of therpy stuff, especially Dr John Delony. There's a lot of gems he says, but my favorite for times like this is something along the lines of "to them, it doesn't matter what they're saying or how much they mean it. They're just grabbing knives and stabbing wherever they can, and they want to cut you the deepest they can. That was clearly the biggest knife they could see out in the open, and they used it."

Honey, that isn't a man - he's a 4 year old in a grown man's body who isn't ready to grow up. He may enjoy adult things, but when it comes time to step up and do what you need to do, he malfunction. Responsibility is scary and it takes guts to put yourself aside, and he's nothing more than a selfish coward. Im so sorry you had to be on the receiving end of him realizing he needs to grow up and panicking.

Do you have any sort of income, or family/friends who can help you get out? I mean, usually I encourage therapy and trying to work it out... but he's made it pretty clear.

Please... silently get daycare lined up now in case there is s wait time, and get yourself a job lined up for when they can start the kiddo there. As soon as your little one can be taken care of (without dad on the pickup list for now), start earning your own money and get out asap. Even getting a call center job that works the same hours as your husband so he doesn't know if that's important. It will be scary right now, but you will finally be able to breathe without realizing you've been holding your breath for so long.

Throw the whole man away. Thats not right at all. Such a horrible thing to say. I was with someone who would say terrible things to the point where I started to believe it and it wasnt true. You need to run as fast as you can.

Although it really a terrible thing to say. I will inquire a bit more? Is your husband frustrated about finances, family relations, anything else? Is he stressed out to no end? Is he responsible and has he given u adequate support beyond this moment of outburst? Sometimes people say things in times of heavy frustration and have been meditating on dark thoughts. Just trying to think below the surface from the opp end of the spectrum a bit than just jumping the gun. Its not unusal for people to feel overwhelmed and remember back to when they weren’t. Its not unusual fir a person to feel frustrated and lose it. But if his behavior has been toxic and detrimental towards u beyond the comment and present situation… id consider getting help.
