Flight

Hi, looking for suggestions of things to take on flight to keep little one occupied and any other things people may have found useful to have when travelling? Thanks

Not sure how long your flight is, we've just booked to go to Poland and I've booked an adult fare alongside his under 2 ticket so he doesn't have to sit on my lap. I plan to take a few books to read him and have a couple of those suction toys that stick on high chairs for him to play with.

Please don’t judge me 😢

I’ve got a two year old girl who is my world, and I’m pregnant with baby #2 who I found out recently is a boy. I feel so, so terrible and guilty writing this but I want to get it off my chest. I’ve only ever grown up around women - I have a sister, a daughter, and I’m close to my mum. My husband isn’t that close to his sister and he’s close to his mum but not like I am. I really wanted to give my daughter a sister, to have the same bond hopefully I’ve got. I guess I just look at my husbands family and I worry that he will distance himself one day 😩 I know it’s so silly to think, but because I’ve never really grown up around boys (including cousins) I feel completely out of touch with being a “boy mom”. That being said, I’m so so grateful for the gift of having another baby join our family, a little boy who I’ll raise into a great young man. I guess I’m just looking to hear from people who might’ve felt the same or , who are close to their brothers 💛

I need your opinion on if this is weird or what?

My husband acts like he gave birth to our child. Our child just turned one and he will act like a single dad even when I'm there holding him and struggling to make a bottle or do other things when holding our son. If any chores like food shopping or cleaning needs to be done then he would rather stay home with our son and I do it. I'm starting to feel resentful because I want to actually be a mum that gets to chill and not do everything but he is a great dad. He's just lazy when it comes to chores. What do I do ladies?

Needy 3 year old

My lo is so needy, every minute of everyday and I’m starting to lose the plot. She can’t/wont play independently if I’m around, which means I spend 12/14 hours a day playing with her. It doesn’t matter what she’s playing; pretend play/arts and crafts etc I have to play. If I go to sit down she whines, if I go in another room she cries and I’m so over it. The only way I can get 5 minutes is to put her in front of a screen, which of course make me feel like a shit mum. She’s not like this with her dad, she’ll happily play independently when it’s just him and her. Everyday is just starting to feel so long and I count down the hours till bedtime 😮‍💨 shouldn’t she be able to play a little on her own without a screen? I can’t keep this up, my brain is so overstimulated everyday I can feel myself getting more and more agitated

Single Mom New Home Heartbreak

I cannot express how hard I tried, how badly everything keeps going and how heartbroken I feel. I separated from my sons father due to the toxic nature of the relationship and wanting my son away from it.

I killed myself to come up with funds to buy my first ever home and now on top of everything else that has gone wrong they found asbestos in the popcorn ceiling. I’m genuinely feeling defeated. I don’t have child support because it entails a legal battle and I had to choose between that or getting my child and myself a home instead of living out of a single bedroom indefinitely. I don’t feel safe about my home now. Any advice?

Plates

Every time I serve my baby’s dinner/lunch on a plate they instantly tip it up and throw it on the floor.
Is it too soon to try teach this? I’ve tried for a few months but nothings changing

3 month growth spurt ?

My baby is drooling a lot, touching his gums, sleeping 30 min naps, very sensitive and fussy, very congested at night, I have to use saline water and suction his boogies. Is all of these part of the 3 month growth spurt ? Teething? Or is he getting a cold again ? We just got off of a cold too … I want to take him to the pediatrician but my husband says that we will be exposing him to sick babies. Any advice ? 🙈
