Does anybody else’s baby enjoy screeching and any tips on how to gently encourage them NOT to 😂? My baby is almost 9 months old and she’s been doing high pitched screeching and screaming on and off in phases since about 4 months. It seems to be mostly when she’s excited and also occasionally to express frustration but sometimes we have no idea why. It’s getting so loud that I think it’s actually starting to cause damage to both mine and my partners ear drums 😂 and he had tinnitus already. Any help appreciated! Even if it’s just to know we’re not the only ones 🙃

lol, mine does the same but more like a growl. We realized she was copying her older brother (3 yrs) who would growl and strike a power pose when he was being “tough” or “strong”. She even does a power pose!
But not sure how to curb that, we just go with it and laugh. I wonder if you could match her volume and lower the volume incrementally to get her to copy like a whisper scream. I remember playing around with my baby and laughing when she would copy our whisper yells. Maybe that will get you a step in the right direction.

My 7month olddaughter does it out of excitement, we went for a walk around the marina the other day, my partner carried her and she screeched for 20 solid minutes. Everyone was looking at us and laughing! I find if I whisper to her she stops and looks really confused… but then carries on 😂

She's discovering her voice, she'll like the way it feels. You can try and say, we're quiet in her, can you hear anyone else shouting or using loud voices but she's 9 months old so 🤷🏼♀️
