What do you all do?

I'm a primary tescher. Love my job a lot of the time, hate that so much funding - TAs, SEN etc is being cut making workload more.

I also feel like the individuality is slowly being ripped oyt of teaching and also in children having to think for themselves.

I'd like to maybe stay in education but not in a school settting e.g museum groups or something. I'm not sure

Equally, open to working with adults only and nothing to do with education.

Would like to have holidays off with kids but they're a perk of teaching, I know!

Hi everyone,I feel a bit embarrassed about this, but I’m really struggling financially at the moment and I’m not sure what options I have.

I’m currently on my own with my baby and I don’t really have any support from my baby’s dad. Things are quite tight and it’s getting quite stressful trying to manage everything.

I’m also worried that I may not be able to go back to work after my maternity leave ends because childcare is going to be really difficult to arrange and afford, which is adding to the stress.

I was just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and has any advice on what help is available (benefits, grants, childcare support, anything really), or even just ways you managed to make things a bit easier.

Any advice or kind words would really help right now. Thank you 🤍

Do you feel like women on here are expecting you to act like their boyfriend?

I’ve noticed that when it comes to attempting to make friendships here a lot of women expect you to be the one to message first, they expect you to initiate all conversations or keep them interesting and you have to make plans. It’s not a two way street and I find it beyond strange.

Have you had that experience?

Raging at my partner

Ffs. So my partner who, for the last few months has not complimented me, barely touches me, never wants sex and admitted that his sex drive is non existent at the moment just made a comment that’s really hurt me and doesn’t help how I’m feeling already.

I’ve just had a bowl of soup and was still hungry so got another. He saw and was like “bloody hell, are you having more? Who ate all the pies? You’re certainly putting it away”….

I don’t think I’m overweight at all and anyway I gave birth 4 months ago and am breastfeeding so of course I’m hungry!!!
So angry and upset. I don’t get what his issue is, I just want to feel sexy again. It’s frustrating because I see men look at me when I’m out on my own or with baby and I know I’m not ugly but his lack of attention is really starting to affect me!!! We’re supposed to be engaged ffs. How can I marry someone who doesn’t make me feel attractive or wanted…
