Off food when poorly
Morning all. Well, what a week so far and it's only Tuesday. My LO woke up on Sunday morning with a pretty bad cough. Sadly, there isn't anything we can do other than Calpol and fluids etc. It's now manifested itself into a cold. She normally loves her food and eats pretty much anything I put in front of her (apart from salmon 😆). But I have noticed when she gets a cough or a cold etc she will barely eat anything and only wants a standing reservation at "The Boobery". Anyone else's LO the same when poorly??

Ours has a cold at the moment too, and is the opposite. He's wanting his food but not his milk. We keep offering little and often but he's refusing most bottles and only accepting about 1/3 of his normal volume. Trying to pick watery foods like cucumber to help stop him getting dehydrated
Yes, mine is exactly the same! It’s been about two weeks now he had a bit of a cold and teething and completely went off food and we could barely get any milk in him. He was only having around 90ml per bottle and just about 500ml per day at best! Starting to get a little bit better but still not back to normal x
Yup same with mine. I feel the same when I have a cold I just want comfort food. Milk is hydration and everything they need plus comforting so I totally get it. Although rough for me right now as we are both pretty poorly 😣
Btw I love ‘the boobery’ 😂 we call it the breasturant
Yeah perfectly normal, keep them hydrated and don’t worry about food even when they get older. When my eldest is poorly he won’t eat or drink and always ends up in hospital and they always say always worry about hydration never about food ☺️ x
