Gaviscon

My baby has never really had reflux, she’s about 5 and a half months. Recently near enough after every feed she’s spitting up quite a lot of the bottle, even an hour after eating.
We went to the drs as I was concerned as she wasn’t eating as much and dr has recommended gaviscon. She has formula in the day and is breastfed of a night. How would I give the gaviscon in her bedtime bottle? I’ve just made it and it’s currently cooling down in some cool water. Should I have put it in while the bottle was hot or can I put it in when it’s cooled down?
She’s been waking up in the night and staying up for 3+ hours recently too, we’re exhausted 😂 so wondered if she was in pain with reflux so I thought I’d try her with the bedtime bottle. Any tips/ advice? Thank you x

Hey is she teething by any chance? My LO was similar and we started to give teething powder which settles him relatively quick x

Awh ok. How's her nappies and weight gain? I wouldn't worry about the bottle feeds being inconsistent as long as she's on her usual total intake of the day i.e mine is on roughly 650-700ish ml over 24 hours but they can be shorter more frequent feeds x

Yea don't stress too much that's happened before when I've done a big BF the total bottle intake has been lower. Gaviscon can cause constipation too x

If she refuses the bottle try BF in between and soon she unlatches give the bottle. I have to do this at times too

Yea it could just be that. Awh tell me about it. I always got told by my health visitor some days their feeds will be off like us one day we have a big appetite another day we don't fancy it but if they're having regular nappies and you feel they're gaining weight then don't stress x
