I take that for me personally famotidine

hey hun ! my 3 mo was prescribed that and the side effects were awful. he had a facet of 100.6, hives, and blisters at the mouth. i don’t really recommend. this is day 3 i’ve been in the hospital with my little due to severe acid reflux . i completely understand.

My baby started taking it at two months, it helps in the moment for the pain but not long-term. I will say my baby’s reflux has improved because his stomach is maturing He’s 3 1/2 months now.

My son was on famotidine for about 2 months. It's not typically meant for long term use- just until the esophageal sphincter matures. It worked well for us and had no side effects.
I also work in pediatric healthcare and about 90% of my patients get famotidine short term while in the hospital and it is usually well tolerated.

hello! my baby takes infant gaviscon for reflux but im in UK ☺️ hope it works for your LO xx

It worked well for us my son used it for about 2.5 months til his stomach muscles matured enough.

My boy was prescribed at 2 months and it did nothing! He’s now on Nexium and waiting to see if it works!

My 1 month and 15 day baby was prescribed it and it helped not hurt as bad and scream in pain but the reflux was still there

My son was prescribed something like this for his reflux but my doctor told me it had some side effects which scared me a bit. And that once we wanted to take him off he’d have to be weened off. She also suggested a probiotic which worked out much better for my son. Def worth talking to the doctor depending on what your 2 month is going through and options.

My baby is on it and is 6 months now and it worked really well for him

My 3 month old was percribed that and it was amazing he was in it for 3 months

My son was prescribed it and I stopped after a few days. The days he took it, he was more irritable so I knew the Pepcid wasn't for him; once we stopped it, he was back to his normal content self. We've done probiotics daily and sometimes twice a day if he was super spitty or if he had diarrhea. Doctors weren't too concerned of us stopping it because he was gaining his normal weight.

My son is on it and his doctor just increased his dose and frequency. It worked fine for my little one. Acid reflux is rough, good luck mama!
