What to do after 2nd miscarriages

Hi, I had 2nd miscarriage last month. We are trying to conceive this month. After conceived, can my GP refer me to an early pregnancy unit for close monitoring to reduce miscarriage risk for 3rd time? I am in the impression that GP will refer only after 3rd miscarriage. Mine would be 3rd pregnancy this time. Any thoughts, please?

I believe it’s after 3, but you can always book a private early scan. I have luckily not experienced a miscarriage before but I did book a private early scan at 9 weeks for my little one and it gave me so much reassurance.

Hi, I don't believe the NHS will do any sort of referral until after 3 miscarriages and even then you have to request help and chase up.

Definitely after 3 I believe. I had 2 miscarriage and one ectopic pregnancy, I paid for a private scan for a clear of mind at 6 and 12 weeks (I know you get a scan at 12 weeks but I had spotting and I was worried about losing my baby again). Ps; she’s 12 weeks old healthy baby now

I had a miscarriage early this year it was my first! The epu said that they investigated after the 2nd and if I did get pregnant again I could contact them directly and ask for an early scan. Whether this will be the case I don’t know.

Is it normal to have 3 scans in one week

I was told that you could only have a scan every 2 weeks but I’ve got 3 in one week

Kicks at 20 weeks pregnant.

I’m 20 weeks pregnant today with my second baby, i haven’t really felt much movement in this pregnancy which is abit strange, i’ve felt the odd kick or flutter but that’s all is it normal to feel like this it. I do have a scan tomorrow to check everything is okay. last pregnancy i had scans but i’ve only had about 3 in this pregnancy as i went away for 2 week so my next one is tomorrow. just want to be reassured that everything is okay because i stress myself out all the time 😩 xx

When did everyone start packing their hospital bag? Second time mum nearly 31 weeks pregnant and feel I’ve left everything so last minute this time round 🥴

Gestational diabetes 🤦‍♀️

Anyone else been diagnosed? I had my glucose test and got the dreaded phone call today to say it came back abnormal. I wasn’t expecting it at all😑

Thyroid issues

Just been informed by my GP I have under active thyroid. Could be hereditary, but I’m also wondering could it be due to postpartum (almost 9 months).

Anybody experienced this? Anybody found their levels went back to normal? I really don’t want to be on medication for the rest of my life.
