My toddler has a bad diaper rash. He’s even crying when I change diapers. He has a mark on each cheek that’s really red looks like it hurts bad. What should I use the equator diaper cream or the desitin max strength! Please help!

I use breastmilk on my sons. If that doesn't work then I use some aquaphor or desitin diaper cream

You’d have to order it but I like earth mama diaper balm or mother love they are organic and you can get them on Amazon and they have helped a ton for my kids

I use aquaphor, and us a great amount and change the diaper often rash gone next day

While you try all the things other mamas have recommended, try to wash with soap and water with your hand after poops .
As much as you can because wiping makes it worse and it hurts them ,but you also want them to be completely clean of BO as it will continuously burn the area.
Then let them air out for a bit before aquaphor and diaper .
Water feels so much better on their skin compared to wipes .
You may resume wipes afterwards.

A mix of Oxyplastin and Bephanten fatty cream worked best for us when my son had such a bad rush, to the blood (the pple at the daycare did not change him for hours with poop). Clean him up using water and pat dry the area before applying anything. As others said, leave him butt naked as much as you can.

Take flour put it in a pan and brown it until it’s like golden brown caramel color. Let it cool down fill his diaper with it and let him sit in it and make sure it’s on the affected area. This is my go to every time my kids get a rash it really really works.

My son recently had a rash that we used creams for that didn’t work and ended up using nystatin cream cause it turned out he had a yeast rash and it sounds like maybe it could be that but I’d try that after other creams

Mustela diaper rash spray. The best!

i use A+D ointment and blue baby powder pure cornstarch its good for absorbing moisture on baby's skin and it helps my little one with rashes

maybe also try changing wipes to hypoallergenic wipes it really helps alot
Thank you for all the helpful comments! I just bought the equator fast relief cause that’s all cvs had and caldasene baby powder. Hopefully this helps because he’s screaming his head off during diaper changes rn

Try Aquaphor. Been using it since NICU days. I even line the diaper with it before putting it on him and since I'm home mainly. I use water , cloth , and baby soap. Best of luck Mama hope the baby feels better soon

Corn starch works well for us
