Hospital

Hi ladies,

I've just found out I'm pregnant again and I need to decide which hospital to go too. I have had my last 2 at St James but the whole experience was very traumatic and very under staffed.
I've not heard great things about the LGI both from friends and from finding out the maternity care is one of rhe lowest in the country! Please help I currently live in Churwell in South leeds so I have no idea where to go x

Given that the trust was under the cosh last year, I imagine now is probably the best time to go to a Leeds hospital because issues are all known, being dealt with and they're being watched for improvement. Sometimes it takes a trust to be in trouble before funding gets spent on them (NHS for you).

I live local to you I had my little girl in October at LGI back in October honestly the staff were so supportive and I received great care. I had to have an induction and was in hospital for a few days too x

Omg!!😩😒😲

Please tell me I’m not pregnant! I’ve been fasting for 18 hours a day this past month, and I just spent 12 hours at the spa, including quite a bit of time in the hot sauna. Now I’m really starting to worry! My period is officially one day late, so I’m going to test again in the morning and hope for the best. Between my other health issues and being anemic, I really wasn't expecting this right now.

I don't believe in abortion, so if I am pregnant, I want to make sure I stay as healthy as possible. Could you share some tips on how to maintain a healthy pregnancy? I’d appreciate any advice on staying well during this time. 🙏

C Section under GA

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if any other mums here had a C-section under general anaesthetic? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences and how you felt afterwards.

I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with mixed emotions at the moment. On one hand, I know it was absolutely the best and safest decision for my baby, and I’m so grateful for that. But at the same time, I feel really sad that I missed those first moments after the birth.

I also had a spinal fluid leak afterwards, which meant I was in a lot of pain and couldn’t care for my baby as much as I wanted to in those first few days. I think that’s added to how I’m feeling about it all.

I’ve got a birth reflection appointment booked with my midwife, which I’m hoping will help, but I just wanted to reach out here in the meantime. If anyone has been through something similar, I’d really value hearing how you felt and how things settled for you over time.

Thank you 🤍

Help

Gestational diabetes, 36weeks 6 days and breech.
I’m suddenly so emotional and wondering if I can do this.
I’ve got to have an ECV (where they by hand try and flip the baby) next week. So nervous. Has anyone had this done please?

I never thought id be posting on this

Has there been any moms that have been cheated on but they did right by your and your 1 year old and made things right?

Just found out my partner cheated at the beginning of our relationship and flirting with girls through it and messaged sex workers and met up with them 4 months ago (2/3) sex workers for a quick romp for 15 mins.

I feel sick to my stomach. I hurt so bad. Ive cried so much that im numb.
Ive just ordered a test as Ive had flu symptoms so fingers crossed im not suffering with HIV 🤢 I feel lost.

Baby's stomach measuring big at 20 weeks

I had my 20 week scan yesterday and everything looked perfect apart from the baby's stomach was measuring a bit bigger than expected. Has anyone else had this and what did it mean? They have told me not to worry and that because I already have a gestational diabetes test in June they don't need to book one.
