Spits at night

Hi ladies, my newborn throws up in her bassinet a lot throughout the night. I am too anxious to sleep with the fear she will choke or something more sinister is going on. Have anyone had a similar issue? Disclaimer - She is literally only days old

Aww sorry your having a tough time, my 3 weeks old does it occasionally but only a bit comes up and she turns her head to the side and doesn’t choke, they know what to do but I’m like you and I’ll run to her if I here something and quickly get her up

They tend to know to turn the heads to the side to get rid of it. You can also slightly elevate their cot so it’s at a slight angle x

My little one did this while in the hospital at just a few days old and the nurses told us it was amniotic fluid that can sometimes get a little stuck in their lungs. (Totally normal). She gave us one of those nose squeezies (I'm so sorry I can't think of the real name) that you can use to remove boogers, and told us to use they to remove it from the side of her mouth by cheek (not in the back or on lips etc) and nose when needed but not to overdo it since their little noses can be sensitive. And then she slept in an elevated cot for those first several days which also helped.

I know my son would spit up in his sleep but babies are very good at not choking on their vomit! Like, their bodies are programmed more than adults are.

Swaddle Vs sleeping suit.

Which one seems to work better for your baby? I am ftm, with a 4week old, I am not entirely sure what is the best option to get him to sleep restfully for a few hours between feeds.

Sickness

Hello, I don’t know if anyone could help or if they have had the same issues with their little one. My son keeps being sick but it’s like bile we took him to A&E last night and they said we have been over feeding him but he’s been perfectly fine didn’t know if any other mums have experienced the same thing?

Stop breastfeeding

Breastfeeding (expressing) is affecting my mental & physical health, my breasts constantly hurt, even when I express, I need to get checked to discard mastitis, but my mental health isn't good too, so I just want to stop producing milk.
I'm recovering from a C-Section, my body looks like a disgrace and my scar got infected twice and had to had antibiotics, I'm constantly uncomfortable.

GP has suggested to stop producing milk the natural way, but when I try, the pain is unbearable and it seems like my body wants to produce even more milk. I'm exhausted and I feel like I can't cope with it anymore.
Luckily my baby is mostly formula fed and any breastmilk has been given to him in bottles anyway, and he seems healthy & happy.

Has anyone stopped producing milk the natural way? I asked for medication and they said they can't prescribe it unless a major medical reason 😔

Silly question

My 1 week old seems to barely be awake, I know wake windows are really short at this age but is it normal for him to only be awake 1-2 hours a day?!

Toys? Entertainment?

Hey mums, when did you get your baby their first toy? My baby is just over 2 weeks old and I’m wondering if that’s too young for toys / entertainment to keep her stimulated when she’s awake
