Yup exactly as the title says my 2.5 year old go ahold of my glasses and stomped on them. 🫠not what I expected to happen that day but thankfully I was able to get a replacement pair same day in person. I wasn't happy with how I dealt with the situation (yelled and he ran to his room to cry) but it is what it is...I told my husband and he was really upset (not at me at our son for doing that) but I told him to treat our son normally that I already got upset with him there's no need for you to as well. Any tips on how to react without seeing red? I apologized to my son after I yelled at him and told him glasses aren't toys.

I think you've already done everything you can do from what you've described. You apologized. Parents aren't perfect and it's okay for kids to understand that. You can't change what happened, but your toddler saw that you realized you reacted emotionally and you apologized and owned up to it. That's healthy modelling when we make mistakes.
I don't think you need to do anymore - bringing it up again will just draw more attention. I'd say move on and try to use it as a learning experience, and a reminder to keep yourself regulated.

That's my worst nightmare! (well maybe not the worst but definitely on the list) I have a no touch policy for mamas glasses and keep them out of reach when not on my face. But golly the panic is there when one of the kids start reaching for my glasses.

BTW I don't know who needs to hear this but I actually have started buying glasses from Zenni. They are way cheaper from them and now I have a few extra pairs just in case.

Wow 40 dollars is great! So glad you were able to get a cheap and fast replacement!
