As much as I am trying to pretend it is not imminent and the thought of it makes me want to cry. What is everyone buying for their babies 1st birthdays? I could do with some ideas! So far my son mostly has books but would like to buy some toys too. Was hoping to get him a Jellycat but they seem to be sold out all the time online☹️

We got a subscription to Whirli. It’s a toy rental service - you get variety and there’s no waste when kiddo outgrows the toys.

We’ve got him a pop up tent with tunnels to go through with some balls to put in it and a ride on tractor where he pushes it with his feet, there are some really cute wooden puzzles on Amazon we are going to get him as well and we’ve bought him a wooden climbing frame that can be used inside and outside

I got mine a little tikes rocking horse for the garden and a ride on car.

My older child received a play couch when he turned one and it was sooo worth it. If you have the space it’s so much fun! YOTO or a tonies box is great, will be a while till they can use it themselves but nice to sit and listen to stories together. Toys wise big chunky cars are great and still get used all the time by my nearly 4 year old. Musical instruments are wonderful, my May baby will smash the keyboard keys are hit his brothers xylophone. Puppets are another one that is universally loved in our home. We usually put money in kids investment pots.
