Hey! Having my second baby on Wednesday and I really would like to breast feed this time round. I tried really hard with my first but he just wouldn’t latch and I feel like I wasn’t in the right head space to persevere..does anyone have any helpful tips on breast feeding?

Were you able to see an IBCLC? You want to make sure you have a deep latch so line up baby’s nose to your nipple and then wait to put them on until they open their mouth super wide. As soon as they do that you have to really support them and basically shove them onto the breast at first! Baby should have duck lips around your areola so the lips shouldn’t be tucked in around the nipple. It gets easier when they get older and need less support! They’ll learn to be more efficient too
