Pram question...

This may be a stupid question but do you need a pram bassinet for a baby? I am looking at Nuna Mixx and it says from birth but is it ok for a younger baby to go in this? Or do they need a bassinet initially? Is a bassinet safer/better? Just wondering as a bassinet would likely not fit in our car.

Also if anyone else has this pram please let me know what you think!

I got my girl a bassient stroller that turns into a big kid stroller

Ideally a bassinet stroller because it lays flat. I got the Cybex gazelle S that goes from bassinet to stroller. Also have the stokke bassinet to stroller, both work great for different needs x

Mine hated the bassinet bit so he was in a carrier the first couple of months then in a stroller that lays flat.

We have this exact pram. We did have the bassinet attachment but honestly it was a real faff getting it in and out of the car. The seat bit is adjustable and can lie flat (which is why they say it’s suitable from birth), and we’ve been using that since baby girl was about 3 months. We bought the travel system so it came with the bassinet but, as said, huge faff when in the car. When the seat attachment is on the pram it all collapses in one so it is so much easier getting it in and out the car and if you ever need to collapse the whole thing on a train or anything. It’s a great pram, we haven’t had any issues at all 😊

We had a bassisnet for 1st baby but intend on not using it for 2nd. Just going to use the lie flat pram bit and then get a newborn cocoon type thing. It's like a semi structured footmuff that is much easier to get in the car!

Rant and rage

I'm not coping and don't feel supported in the way I need. I try and voice how I feel and I get met with silence and huffs and puffs
My son has problems feeding and gaining weight yet my mil insists on holding and comforting him rather than listening to me saying I should try feed him or change him. I get ignored. Same with my toddler she will continue to give her treats when I say no as 1 was enough and doesn't need 3 of somthing. I feel pushed out and not respected
I'm finding it hard very hard

Honest question

Do you ever place your baby on their front to go to sleep? I’m talking 7+ months. Especially if you know they will sleep better and longer?

Weaning

Started weaning my son today, he was 6months on Friday. I tried broccoli blended & a piece of broccoli- he had a few mouthfuls and it seemed positive that he liked it but he did gag a couple of times then projectile vomitted, I’m assuming this is because his stomach is still sensitive etc, he wanted more afterwards so had 2 more little mouthfuls but then I called it a day. Has anyone else experienced this?

What time does everyone put their little ones to bed?

My daughter is nearly 4 and a half months, 6 bottles a day and she has 6oz every 4 hours roughly.

My problem is she fights her sleep and has done since birth (even though we are in the middle of the regression at the moment 🙃) she doesn't go down for the night until half 9, sometimes 10pm.

I know this is not ideal at all but my first daughter who is now 2 was such an easy baby compared to her. Once shes down for the night, she sleeps for 8/9 hours a night but getting her to go down is a nightmare

Also in the day shes a cat napper. My first daughter just went down to bed and stayed asleep
