Infant in front seat?

Looking for advice, I have to drive 2 hours with just me and my infant and I’m worried if he gets unsettled in back of car that I won’t be able to tend to him but also anxious of putting him in front seat. Has anyone ever travelled with infant in front seat and has any advice on the subject? TIA ❤️

I haven’t but a lot of new mums do with their little ones as it’s so much easier to settle them. My friend did it with her boy till he was 1.5 as he just would scream bloody murder otherwise.

Main thing is making sure your passenger air bag is turned off. X

I travel with my 9 week old in the front. As we know it isn’t as safe as the back, airbags need to be turned off, it can be distracting if you take your eyes off the road to put the dummy in or something. But I do it…as long as they are strapped in correctly. It is totally legal also xxx

Yes I have done a long journey with my eldest in the front when younger, and do with Feb baby on school runs. Just make sure the airbag is off and it’s not supposed to be or proven to be any less safe than the back x

The bump to booster group on Facebook is great for car seat advice for little ones 😊

I have as my 8 week old hates the car seat so it’s much easier for me to settle him and give him a dummy when he’s crying. I just make sure the airbag is turned off and that the car seat is secured properly with the seatbelt.

My daughter has always been in the front since birth and she’s 15 months now. We have a Swedish plus tested seat for this reason. Also, being in the front is just as safe as being in the back, just make sure airbag is off and car seat/infant carrier is secured correctly. X

Formula

My baby is 11 days old, has colic and reflux 🫠😭

He’s currently on Kendamil formula (I had to stop BF for health reasons) and I just don’t think it’s doing a lot for him….

He’s on 120ml at the moment and will happily take this amount but the spit up is constant; even hours after feeding and after being upright for half hour after feeds. He’s a healthy weight and HV is happy with his progress.

He’s on infacol drops as recommended by HV but he’s still really gassy etc.

Would any of you recommend other formulas? Some people are telling me to switch to cow and gate colic others saying aptamil anti reflux 😩

Just wanna make sure if we’re going to switch formulas, that its the right one for him??????? Any recommendations welcome 🤍

when to change the pram?

my son only turned 3 months yesterday but he is SO nosey. he falls asleep in the car a lot so i tend to just use the car seat instead of the bassinet. but when he wakes up he cries unless i take him out and carry him. and then he’s all up in everyone’s business😂 the seat unit for my pram does say it can be used from birth as it can lie flat, but i was hoping for him to be sitting up by the time i changed him over to that, and a bit bigger- he’s on the 25th centile, 12lbs 13oz as of yesterday. he holds his head up all the time now so i’m slightly less concerned in that sense. what age did everyone change their babies from the bassinet to the seat unit? and if i had him facing me would that be enough for him to still be able to look around, or would he be better off world facing? i’m just mindful that he’s still very young, but i’m a first time mum so i want to know everyone’s experiences and advice!

Arm flapping 9 mo. Old

Hey Mamas, I’m a little concerned because I scrolled through TikTok like it’s my job and I diagnose my child or more of a anxious feeling basically… But my almost 9 month old flap his arms whenever he’s excited or upset or just in general, he kind of just does it. I wanted to see if this was normal or if anyone has experienced this, and if it may be assigned for autism?? He doesn’t show or exhibit any other signs besides this one and I am nervous about it. He’s reaching every other milestone that he should be on time or early most likely early like he started crawling at six months old. Wanted to gauge opinions or if they have been in this situation.

Humping

I’m a SAHM and my son has never been exposed to anything let’s just start there. He is semi- verbal autistic and 2 years old. Whenever he gets sleepy he starts humping. Why? Anyone else?

Sleep training

Would you leave your baby alone for an hour in the middle of the day to “figure it out” ??

Is sleep training neglectful?

Peeing in the shower...

We have one bathroom. My husband wants to come in the bathroom, while I am actively using the toilet, and pee in the shower so he doesn't have to wait. His argument, "it goes to the same place and I turned the water on the rinse it down." I said there is still splatter and I feel thats icky. So tell me..
