Leaving house alone with baby

Does anyone struggle leaving the house or being out and about alone with baby? Mine is still eating every 2-3 hours (little and often, HV has given her the okay), but it takes an hour to finish the bottle and another 30 mins to hold her upright so that she’s not sick. So sometimes there is only 1 or 1.5 hours between feeds. I dread going out because I spend the first 1.5 hours of the outing sat in a cafe feeding/holding her. Then we can shop for an hour or so before running off home for her next feed, else we will be stuck in the cafe for another 1.5 hours. Also feel we can’t walk anywhere, we need to drive, to make sure we can get home quickly in time for the next bottle or we will be stuck out of the house for another 1.5 hours for the feed. Baby groups - she usually ends up feeding at them, then I need to hold her upright for the 30 mins so we end up not doing the class activity.

I do try to time her feeds in line with our daily plans but it does not always work out.

Has anyone else been through similar? I really feel it’s ruining our time out - I feel guilty she’s not getting out as often as she should cos I am so worried about her feeds.

I used to think the same as my baby is so sicky, it does get easier! Could you use a carrier when you’re out and about so she’s up right? My baby goes longer when we’re out because he’s distracted x

when to change the pram?

my son only turned 3 months yesterday but he is SO nosey. he falls asleep in the car a lot so i tend to just use the car seat instead of the bassinet. but when he wakes up he cries unless i take him out and carry him. and then he’s all up in everyone’s business😂 the seat unit for my pram does say it can be used from birth as it can lie flat, but i was hoping for him to be sitting up by the time i changed him over to that, and a bit bigger- he’s on the 25th centile, 12lbs 13oz as of yesterday. he holds his head up all the time now so i’m slightly less concerned in that sense. what age did everyone change their babies from the bassinet to the seat unit? and if i had him facing me would that be enough for him to still be able to look around, or would he be better off world facing? i’m just mindful that he’s still very young, but i’m a first time mum so i want to know everyone’s experiences and advice!

Was the nursery carer wrong for saying this?

My baby is starting nursery (she’s 13 months). Today was her first settling in hour. My baby has CMPA and we are working on introducing dairy to her with a dietician. For now she can’t have cows milk. She’s still breastfed. They said she can have oatmilk with breakfast and I’m happy with this as we do this at home too. However they also offer them milk to drink and I said I’m happy to provide breastmilk. The manager emailed me about it earlier and said it’s fine as long as it’s clearly labeled. The nursery worker seemed not keen and said she can drink oat milk and she can have breastmilk at home. Is it just me or was that comment wrong?

How beautiful must be

To have a baby that at 21 months sleeps nicely through the night and wakes up at a decent time (7am would be already a good time)?
I cannot stop thinking how being it must be for the parents of those babies who are now finally sleeping through the night and not waking up before 6am.

I’m so so done with the night awakenings and early rise and a grumpy baby since the time he opens his eyes
