Epidural and Csections

Hi, I've just found out at 35 weeks that he is breech and I'm looking for people's opinions on C sections and epidurals. These are the only two things I didn't want 😩that I now might have to get.
I genuinely don't think I'm gonna let them come near me with that epidural needle.

Hey completely understand I went in wanting a water birth but was then given the option of either induction or c section

I went with c section and I can tell you it was the most calm and positive experience

If by epidural you mean the spinal they give before operation it felt more like a pinch
A midwife will help you hold your shoulder in that hunched position I was quite pre occupied anyway but they chat to you to keep you distracted- honestly it doesn’t hurt like what you read it’s a very small pinch and then done .

Happy to chat to you if you have any more questions

I had a c section with my first due to him being breech/transverse and my amniotic fluid leaking to low levels meaning a section was my only option!
It was so calming and they were just chatting away! Didn’t even know they’d started until 5/10 mins in and all I hear is screaming from my baby😂only explanation I can explain for the feeling is someone doing the dishes in your tummy lol.
My recovery was sweet as anything too no complication minimal blood loss no infection nothing!

Honestly i just wanted thr most natural birth i could. I ended up being induced, getting an epidural and having an emergency c section under general anesthetic.

Im ngl the induction is what made everything 1000 x worse and was terrible, but thats just my experience

The epidural was a life saver honestly would have passed out if i didnt have that but was only given that option after 37 hrs in labour. They also say when u have it that u cant stand as u cant feel ur legs which was anniying coz i could. Only thing is u can end up with back pain after. Ngl i dont even remember them showing me the needle and after that its just a small tube.

After nearly 12 weeks my scar from my section is great but i still have twinges if i over do things. The recovery was rough. I had swelling for a week, couldnt go for a numbebr 2 for 5 days after and when j did i had to use a laxative coz it felt like i was gunna rip my scar

Honestly as much as i didnt want any of that im just glad my child is here and everythings okay

I had an epidural and it was amazing 😂 didn’t see the needle or even feel it go in as I was too preoccupied at that point x

Is my baby ok?!

My little girl will be 4 months soon, and the past few weeks she literally stiffens her whole body up straight when I try to sit her on my lap.. before a feed, after a feed or just to sit her in her chair? She also curves her back a lot when I hold her head over my shoulder to wind her??? It’s like she literally wants to get herself up from being sat down??? She also does it when she has a little bit of a temper? Anyone???

Anyone else having trouble balancing their daily activities while taking care of their baby?

My baby is 2 months old and I feel like I still cannot adjust to being a mom (first time mom)

What week did you go into labor?

I’m having a c-section at 39+1, and I’m terrified labor will start before then. Currently at 37+3. I know some people deliver earlier or later than the included options. Feel free to share!

Bad hospital experience

Has anyone else had a bad hospital experience? I feel like I was not listened to and was rushed out of the hospital. I had very bad cramps in the postpartum room and I was told it was normal and I should just take the Tylenol… We were discharged at 10pm and no one checked the car seat we even asked. My birth plan was not listened to and did not see a lactation consultant. Has anyone else had the same experience?

For elective c sections ?

For elective sections- do they do this bang on due date? Or can they wait two weeks like they do if you were overdue and going to be induced?

Cramping 36+5

I’ve been cramping a fair bit the last hour or so, nothing too extreme like I can talk through them. I haven’t tracked anything so honestly I’m unsure if there’s a pattern. My last birth was an induction due to baby passing at 24 weeks so unsure of what a natural labour would feel like.
I don’t want to drag me and my partner to triage unnecessarily especially at this time. Would it be wise to just wait it out and if things get worse or more frequent then go?
