I had an emergency c-section with my first child and I think I’ll likely have another c-section with my next child. I think my risk factors are that I had a big baby and I had 5 days of induction that never resulted in labour, and I have a high BMI.
I found recovery quite hard and I still have a lot of numbness (10 months later).
Is there anything that anyone who’s had a c-section/s would recommend to prepare for an easy c-section and recovery?

Focus on your health between pregnancies and wait at least 18m between conceiving to reduce uterine thinning risks.
I didn’t lose weight between pregnancies and ended up heavier than ever when it came to my second section. Just could have been easier and avoided if I’d tried to prioritise my health more, I ended up needing injections unlike the first time as my BMI was higher. I’m now 4st lighter and excited for pregnancy 3 when that happens. Less joint pain, less obesity related issues, better mobility in pregnancy, recovery and looking after toddlers, less clot risks too.

Mine is still numb six years on!
I found the second section much easier to recover from… guess the muscle already damaged etc… but no where near as bad the second time. Planned is also much calmer than emergency
