How is everyone letting their babies go to sleep ? I swaddled my little one at the hospital and the midwife said they don’t do it any more and just out baby down in cot..

My midwife swaddled my baby at the hospital, so it must be different everywhere - just do what feels right for you 😊
We're using tommee tippee and love to dream swaddle sleeping bags. Baby seems to sleep much better that way. During the day I just let her sleep without or I'll swaddle with a blanket if unsettled xx

My midwife actually encouraged me to swaddle my baby, sometimes I swaddle him sometimes I don't it depends on how fussy he's being and if he goes down straight away which alot of the time he does.

It really confused me as she said just out a blanket over him and tuck it in the bottom!

My baby hates being swaddled. I use a sleeping bag though (with arms out). It's not warm enough in my room yet to not use anything. My 1st was born in a summer heatwave so was only in a vest for first 2 months.

Like Shazza above, sometimes I swaddle, sometimes not. This will only be during daytime naps. First week of being home he would settle in his next to me at bedtime and through the night, with a blanket tucked into bottom and sides of his arms under mattress, but more recently we've been co-sleeping and just figuring out what's comfortable.
I wish I knew sooner that newborns can side lay while breastfeeding laid down 🥲.
When I swaddle, I use a stretchy blanket, I don't know why the supermarket TommeeTippee wrap things never agreed with my children 🙃x

Elective C Section and Breastfeeding

Hi girls

My c section is booked next week and I'm excited and terrified in equal measures!!

Please can you give me your top tips for helping your milk supply along. Ive tried pumping colostrum at 37 and 38 weeks and just getting little trickles, nothing worth collecting. I've heard breastfeeding feeding is harder after an elective section.

Any advice would be amazing! Xx

I’m at breaking point..

Any advice will be appreciated pleaseee.
My son has always woke up throughout the night (I know this is normal for newborns and even now at nearly 15 months) BUT.. usually when he wakes up I can re settle him. I put him in our bed and he’ll go back to sleep, although after 11pm he’ll never sleep back in his cot. But the past month he’s been waking up inconsolable for a good hour, arching his back and just in tears. I’ve tried so many different things, I’ve even gone to the GP who didn’t know what else to suggest and has referred us to a paediatrician but it’s a 3 month wait.
Has anyone else had this please?
I did originally think maybe night terrors but im unsure. No teeth are coming through either so im just besides myself.
He’s also not too happy in the day, he isn’t the happiest baby (which makes me feel like a bad mum and like I’ve done something wrong, but I think it’s just his personality).

But please can someone recommend something or tell me they’ve had this happen too and it does get better because I’m at breaking point.
Every night I just pray tonight will be the night he’ll sleep through or even for more than just 3 hour stretches but it never is

Joolz (Aer2) colors

Hi! We are thinking of getting the Joolz Aer2 as a travel stroller. I like the sage green color on the official picture, but heard it looks more grey in real life. Does anyone have the new model (or the hub) in sage green and can comment/share a picture?

Still multiple wakes each night

Hoping I’m not alone in my tiredness! My 15 (nearly 16 month) year old still wake around 3 to 4 times each night. It has become almost the same time now each night at 11pm, 1am, 3am and then varies from 6am - 7am wake up. His normal routine is first nap around 11am for 2 hours then bed at 7/7:30pm. We do rock to sleep after feeding milk. When we woke in the night we have weaning off giving him milk but now he just wakes for cuddles and rocking each time. Anyone experiencing the same? I really don’t want to do sleep training but not sure what I need to change! X

Where do you put baby to sleep during day?

Where do you put baby to sleep during the day? In your living room or in another room? Do you darken the room during the day while they sleep? Do they already have a sleeping routine during the day ? (8 weeks old)

Dummy’s/ pacifiers?

Iv never used one for my other 3 baby’s. Always thought they were just another reason for them to cry. I’m on my 4th due soon and wondering if Iv maybe been missing out on something ?
