Hello! I’m a first time mum to a 5 month old. I had an instrumental vaginal delivery. My presence was to avoid c-section if possible due to the recovery time, but of course would have accepted it if it was needed for any emergency reasons.
Are any mums who had an elective c-section able to share why? This is a no judgement zone, I’m just curious is all! 🥰

I didnt have a planned c section, mine was emergency (not the rush in ahhh type. Just baby needs to come out quickly, but we are going to be super chill about it - Cat 2). And i will never have children again due to having an emergency c section (i dont want to risk it). But if I was ever mad enough id never opt for a planned c section unless medically necessary because hell no to that recovery again 🫠.

I’m type 1 diabetic and was told it’s risky for me to go full term so they recommended an induction at 38 weeks. I would have never agreed to that so told them I’d do a c-section. It was absolutely fine. Very structured and lots of support in the room. Recovery was obviously painful but fine. Was on just paracetamol after a week. Kept myself mobile and had no issues.
I’ll be doing the same again if we have another
