Hospital bag review

I’m 37 weeks and told the baby can come anytime so I got to packing my hospital bag tonight.

Ladies, please review this.

Do you think this is good enough for a hospital bag?

I also have 2 Lindt chocolate bars (snacks), L&D gown just in case and a going out outfit for when I leave the hospital.

C section recovery feeling stuck

Anyone else pp feeling stuck/ trapped?
4 weeks pp c section so I can’t get out and about and anything with a newborn is hard. Feeling stuck and frustrated in the same place on the couch feeding and contact napping. I know that’s what I’m mean to be doing but how did you get out of the feeling of being useless / stuck.

C-Section vs Vaginal Birth

Hello! I’m a first time mum to a 5 month old. I had an instrumental vaginal delivery. My preference was to avoid c-section if possible due to the recovery time, but of course would have accepted it if it was needed for any emergency reasons. Thankfully, I didn’t need a c-section.

Are any mums who had an elective c-section able to share why? This is a no judgement zone, I’m just curious is all! 🥰

Feeling regretful.

Has anyone else opted for an elective section and then regretted it? I hear so many positive stories about C-sections but I’m just not in that group.

My first birth was emergency section. Long hard recovery, then second birth I had a Vbac- massive blood loss, blood transfusion, retained placenta and episiotomy/forceps. I decided to have an elective section this time due to the placenta issue as I was told it’s likely to happen again.

Although the section went to plan it was just horrible, being awake and all the tugging and pulling, then the trapped wind 😳 I’m 6 days PP now & so uncomfortable, I’m up & about, taking my pain relief of course but keep getting this horrible burning feeling on one side, can’t pick up my baby comfortably or do much with my other kids.

I just can’t help think how easier my recovery would be if I had tried for another normal birth. I’m annoyed at myself and feeling down as I know it’ll be another few weeks til I’m independent again and I’m so frightened of getting set backs like infection etc as I have an overhang.
