Colostrum??

When did you all start collecting colostrum? I’m 33 weeks and I don’t even know where to start with that lol.

36/37 weeks

It’s not advised to collect colostrum until about 36 weeks as it can cause contractions and send you into early labour. If it leaks a bit use breast pads, but please do not squeeze it out just yet. Speak to your midwife next time you see her, here in the UK they give you colostrum syringes and all that, I presume they’d do the same in the states?

Mine didn’t start coming in until right after i gave birth

I started at about 37 weeks pregnant with my first, they had syringes, a little cup to collect the colustrum and an information pack available where I would go for my midwife appointments. I think I did just a few minutes each side at first and I got very little, and then slowly got more as time went on xx

I never even did it because I had no idea what on earth I was doing and had no support on it 😭

I didnt. Nothing came out at all. But my colostrum was there when baby arrived.

Anyone else can’t breathe at all, what the heck do you do?!

No matter what I do- sit up, lean back, lay elevated, stand, stretch, walk, it doesn’t matter, I CANT BREATHE. It’s driving me insane taking these shallow breaths, not being able to fully yawn, it’s like my body is gasping for air! I almost feel claustrophobic like I’m suffocating or something. What do you do?! I genuinely have never had this with my other 2 babies (or maybe I did at the very end) but I’m only 26.5 weeks right now, this shouldn’t be happening yet 😭 my bump isn’t even that big or high!!

Metformin

I took my first dose of Metformin last night and so far all my readings have been high - I had a small cooked breakfast and went for a good 30 minute walk afterwards and my reading was 6.8 after 2 hours …my after food readings have very rarely been an issue unless I eat a whole bunch of chocolate is this common with taking Metformin initially ?

SPD 😵‍💫🥴😵‍💫🥴

Struggling so bad. My pelvic bones and tailbone and spine feel like they got ran over by a truck. I had SPD with my first but I didn’t have any symptoms until the last maybe two or month before my due date. I’m only 26 weeks 😭 and can hardly walk the last couple days. Doing a belly band and heat. Anyone else in the same boat?? I’m so sad. It’s gonna be a very long third trimester lol

Slowly losing my sanity 🤪

I just got a notification in my hospital app that my blood work is back which means the gender of this baby is literally in my hands BUT... My husband is on a work trip and won't be back until NEXT TUESDAY 😫😫 I promised him I wouldn't open the results without him but I fear I'll go insane if I have to wait another week when I know the results are RIGHT THERE 🫠
