Is this anyone else’s second (of first tbh) pregnancy and they have high blood pressure?
I had nothing with my first pregnancy up until after birth but it was put down to stress, I had an emergency c section and it was just a horrid experience overall. Since my 8 week booking appointment I’ve had ongoing high blood pressure and now having to use a 24hr BP machine to monitor.
I have a consultation appointment Thursday but have no clue how it affects the pregnancy, birth, everything!🥴🥲

I had high blood pressure in my first pregnancy which did develop into pre-eclampsia but I didn’t find out until after birth! Since then I’ve been diagnosed with high blood pressure and during this pregnancy I’m on medication for it.
I found during my first pregnancy I just had a lot of maternity unit visits where they would give me meds to bring it back down every week. I did get induced at 39 weeks but not solely due to my blood pressure and I did end up giving birth naturally x

Hey, sorry to hear about your high HP. I was also diagnosed with high BP at around 8 weeks and I’ve been put on aspirin and nifedipine.
I was told if I started aspirin before 16 weeks (ideally before 12 weeks) it massively reduces the chance of pre-eclampsia.
I know it’s cliche but try not to stress, they will explain everything on Thursday and hopefully put your mind at ease!x
