My c section has been booked for 39+5

This seems too late? I had a horrific emergency c section and was told my chance of VBAC was low because of how badly my last labour went (failure to progress, extra large baby, a lot of complications).

I am so scared to go into labour naturally again because both me and my baby nearly died. 39+5 sounds too late to me and now I’m panicking 😢

I would explain your concerns and ask/see if they can set an earlier date. Given the circumstances I would hope they would take your concerns on board

Vaginal or C-Section preference?

Just looking for people's experiences who may have had both a vaginal and a c section? I had a vaginal birth for my first. I struggled very badly with contractions, but the birth part was okay and had second degree tears. Walking straight after and recovery good.

C section has crossed my mind just because I hated contractions that much haha! But I keep telling myself the recovery would be harder, and its easier to just go through the pain with a vaginal and once baby is out, its over. Whereas c section may not hurt to get baby out, but harder recovery (haven't experienced so presuming).

Whats everyone's experiences?

Why

Why are most people wanting to start to try and induce labour earlier that 37 weeks 🥴 it honestly baffles me 😅 I get people want to meet their babies but geez babies are still developing and growing.

True or false? 💙🩷

My first pregnancy I had a boy, no symptoms at all wouldn't have even known that I was pregnant. I am now 6 weeks pregnant with my second and oh my goodness I feel so rough, so tired, so drained, sick and headaches.

Is it true or have others experienced where symptoms have been different or worse due to gender? 🩷💙

Never ending appointments

Anyone else sick of getting new appointments 😅

Currently 32+6
- had a midwife appointment today
- 33+6 Fetal medicine scan & consultant
- 35+1 normal scan & consultant
- 36+6 midwife

Dates TBC;
- 2x steroid appointments
- Pre op appointment
- Anaesthesiologist appointment

- HIGHLY likely to be another scan & consultant between 35 weeks and 37 weeks

And I’m due to have babies between 37+0 - 38+0

That’s 4-5 weeks with 10 appointments that I know of 😓 more could be added 🤦🏼‍♀️ I can barely drive at this point yet I’m none stop back and forward

Wedding entrance

So I’m not sure if this is an American custom making its way across the pond, but does anyone else find those elaborate wedding reception entrances with songs and dances and all that, just a bit tacky?
