you should decide if you want to exclusively breastfeed or also bottle feed! make sure you get your free breast pump through insurance!

Breastfeeding is amazing and well done to you for being brave about it, it does wonders for your baby’s immune system - the only advice I have for you is it will be tricky for the first 3 months at MAX and then it’ll be super easy and natural so just try and ride it out!
I used to wince at the idea of a feed but after 3 months I’d be scrolling on my phone easily whilst baby’s feeding it becomes super easy.
Use LOTS of lanolin nipple balm it helps so much (the purple tube from lansinoh is great)

Also with breastfeeding, your milk supply works on a demand and supply basis - so the more baby wants the more milk you will make. There’s so much you can learn once you’re doing it, but this is key info (demand and supply!)

Try a power pump each day at night (around 3-5am your breasts are the best at milk production) (a power pump is when you pump for longer than usual to mimic cluster feeding) (cluster feeding is when baby feeds for 5 mins, then rests for 5, then wants to feed again)

Overfeeding newborn?!

Today I found out from my GP that feed on demand relates to breastfeeding. I’ve in fact been overfeeding my precious newborn and I feel both embarrassed and guilty.

I’m neurodiverse so I took that phrase literally and although I shouldn’t I feel so bad. She’s been in pain and her stomach was large!! My husband was like that’s normal and I’m so happy I finally listened to myself to get it checked after being gaslit so many times.

Anyway, this is to say follow your instincts and ignore formula pack feeding guidance 😅

Car seat

What car seats did you move onto once your little one outgrew their first car seat? Any you’d recommended (or avoid)

Need to vent about my family im so upset

I was at my mums house with my sisters. I suddenly became very ill, they called an ambulance but no one wanted to keep my baby while I went hospital. In the end I had to tell the ambulance people I wouldn’t go with them as I have no one to watch my baby. They wer disgusted I could tell. They could hear my family saying no I can’t keep the baby I don’t want too. These are the same people who never visited me when my baby was born. I just feel so alone. In the end her dad watched her. I want to have another baby but I know no one will help keep my older baby. I just feel so shit :(

Naps times

11 month old refusing all naps, would you let them cry it out in their crib or allow them to stay awake or even try rocking them to sleep?

First time mum is this normal please?

My son is almost 3, he’s developing really well but I’ve noticed a few things where I’m like is this normal - he doesn’t like tags in his clothes, he cries if the tags are left on his clothes - he is really picky with his food, no meat - he screams so bad and throws up when he’s got to have a bath or have his hair washed - he doesn’t like getting ready in the morning etc. is this just normal for his age? Thanks x
