Birth

I’m shocked with how many mums are choosing to have a c-section/inductions (not for medical reasons) personally that scares me more than anything else, if you had your way what would you have?

I had an emergency c section less than 1 year ago and have been told for my health I should opt for another one with secind baby but I'm still going to try for a 'natural' birth if I physically can xx

This is my first and I always planned to have a natural vaginal birth. However, my partner is over 7ft and baby is on the 90th centile at 30 weeks. I haven’t had any sort of medical conversation yet but I think I may opt for induction to avoid a c section. All I can do is see what happens closer to the time I guess!

I was induced last time and will be induced this time unless I spontaneously labour before that but I think it’s unlikely. My inductions are both medical reasons though high blood pressure (that probably would have turned into preeclampsia with how my bloods were trending with diabetes) and this time diabetes that medication is not able to control well atm, my food ones are normal, also still a few weeks left I may still get high blood pressure as I got it 37 weeks last time. But my preference would have been spontaneous labour but clearly my body just hates being pregnant lol x

Weaker baby’s movements

Hi everyone,

I’m currently 38+6 (first pregnancy, low risk, baby measures at 70th percentile.

Over the last few days I’ve noticed my baby’s movements feel weaker and less frequent than usual (still there, just different). I’ve also been having period-like cramps, mostly at night or early morning, but otherwise I feel fine.

I went to triage and had a CTG – everything looked reassuring and I felt around 4–5 movements in 25 minutes (however they still felt weaker).

The doctor said it could be because baby is now very low, so movements feel different, but also mentioned a small risk that baby might not be 100% well. Because of that, I’ve been offered an induction.

I initially declined as I was a bit overwhelmed, but now I’m unsure what to do.

Has anyone experienced reduced/weaker movements at this stage with a normal CTG? Did you go ahead with induction or wait? Would really appreciate hearing your experiences

How can I get these dishes done quickly

Hi! Sorry for my grammer😮‍💨
I'm not trying make excuses but I feel like I am
I have a bad hip like pinched nerve, this started when I gave birth to my youngest, 2 years old.
I have a small kitchen, I don't know how we got so many dishes, we don't have a dish washer(I wish)
I have a big tote of dishes and two sink full and a the small counter filled with dishes, most of the dishes are easy, no scrubbing mostly required, but it's the time of standing there, the more I stand there the worse my hip hurts it flares and goes up my back slowly
I want to get them done, I want to get the house clean but every time I do clean, the next day I feel like im in so much pain I can't do anything 😭
