How many words does your 15MO say?

This post is not to put anyone or their baby down especially if that baby is having difficulties I’m just curious how many words other children My daughter‘s age are saying because she surprises me. She’s been saying words since she was about 2 1/half months old it started with little words like go out dad mama and she’s already at the point where she’s repeating random words out of nowhere I didn’t think kids started doing that till they were a bit oldershe says far more than 25 words at this point I couldn’t even name them all and like I said every day she says something new she repeats words out of nowhere and I didn’t think a kid that young really started repeating repeating words, unless they’ve sat down and it’s been worked with saying that word but she’ll just say things out of nowhere. She’s already starting to try to put two words together and at her doctors appointment yesterday her doctor told me that that’s actually a skill for two-year-olds what do y’all think and how much is your 15 month old saying?

It is definitely a skill for older usually. Generally about age 2 (worked in nurseries for years).

All child dependant. My daughter has been able to have a full conversation since about 16 months.

They don't need to be taught words in a sat down context. They pick up a lot throughout the day, through books etc.

My 18 month old still doesn’t talk , she will occasionally say wow but that’s it , I think it just depends on the child x

I don't know about 2 months, but mine was definitely on 2-word sentences by 18 months. They asked if she had at least 25 words and we kind of laughed. Doctors have always said she's quite advanced in her speech and since 2 she's basically been talking in full sentences. When it clicks, it happens fast.

Next to me crib

How do you get newborn to sleep in the next to me?

I have tried but end up giving up, going downstairs putting him in the carry cot and he is absolutely fine/drifts off!

Ive tried putting a top in the next to me so he can smell me but that doesn't seem to work.

Environment is the same; dark room etc.

He's 7 days old today, is it just perseverance and eventually he will just do it? Or are there any tips to encourage him to stay/sleep in the next 2 me?

2 stages in one!

3 months in and WOW… nobody warned me about this stage 😂😭

One minute she’s smiling, cooing, the sweetest little angel…
Next minute I’m being screamed at because I dared to change her nappy or put a sleeve on the wrong arm 🙃

Apparently this is a “developmental leap” AND the start of an early sleep regression…
I call it:
✨ tiny human with BIG emotions and zero patience (and no interest in sleep) ✨

We’ve got:
• 30 minute naps
• dramatic outfit changes
• only-mum-will-do moments
• random meltdowns for absolutely no reason (or all the reasons??)
• and a sleep schedule that changes its mind daily 😅

But also… the smiles, the cuddles, the way she settles on me like I’m her whole world 🥹

So yeah… it’s a lot right now.
Messy, exhausting, emotional… but still somehow the best thing ever.

Anyone else in the trenches with a 3 month old? Send help… or snacks 😅🤍

Food shopping

Please help how to do a food shop with a 4 month old! At the moment I put her car seat in a shallow trolley and can only buy limited stuff till its full and fill my massive bag on the hook which isn't enough. She can't sit up so can't go in the sit up ones, I can't wear her for that long takes about 15 minutes and my back feels like its going to break, the pram storage only holds limited stuff I wonder if I'm missing something obvious? I know you can get ones to put the car seat in but there's never been one available when I've been! Any help would be grateful

Unpopular opinion 👀

Baby sleep consultants have made an industry out of exhausted mums wanting a ‘fix’ to their babies sleep, even though there’s no such thing

I’ve been feeling down about motherhood

Hi, I just wanted to express myself a little bit on here. To feel normal again. At times it feels like I can’t catch my breath. At times idk what decisions to make. Does this get easier? As a first time mom/ SAHM, I’ve been feeling lost. Yes I know that being a SAHM is hard work and it is best for my child but at times ( and I’ve heard another mom talk about this on here, which I related too)it feels like I’m not doing enough. Like I do want to connect with myself more and things like that but I have OCD which makes it hard to ignore messes in the house or I am constantly planning or organizing or scheduling. It’s like it’s hard to ignore or not stay productive. I feel bad when I am not productive or doing something to help my family. I also feel just kinda lost right now in life. I know that it’s not good to keep doing and doing all day and I need to have time where I have to myself and my interests, but things feel so far from me to do because it takes time, money and a clear head. I often also am hard on myself which I need to stop doing and I struggle with anxiety around perfection and performance. Idk a way around this… any tips? I just want to be able to have life figured out but I know it’s not reality? Can anyone relate to having a mind that just won’t rest? I just have been feeling like I want more for my life.

Breast pumps

I need suggestions on wearable non expensive breast pumps, I’ve heard about the momcozy ones but they’re way out of my price range, I’m looking for one that is strong as the one I have now is just so weak and does nothing
