Anemia

Any other anemia mamas? I was in L&D the other day for high bp and checking for preeclampsia. While I was there they rechecked my iron levels because I’ve already been out on supplements. Even with the supplements it’s still dropping! My ferritin is at a 6. I have to start IV infusions but the anemia clinic can’t even get me in for the consult until 5/22.

Yay! A group made for me!

I thought I was the only one without a bestie! It’s weird when you leave anything that’s a formal setting like school or work and move house or country far from everything and everyone you knew growing up.

Starting to look for new friendships feels so weird to do at this stage of life, but sometimes you just want to find a girlie who gets it!

So here goes nothing! I’ve just Turned 30, married with 1 little girl and I need friends!
I like to go to tea, music, horses, cars, interior design, fashion and a good amount of reality tv! I am a full time SAHM I use to work in HR and studied Graphic Design at university (so a jack of all trades in my likes but a master of none) you could put me in any room and I’ll be comfortable and can talk to anyone about anything, yet I’m absolutely an introvert so that’s like my problem 😅

So here’s to trying to put myself out there!

I’ve seen SO many posts recently about peoples sons liking “feminine toys/characters” and talking about it in with a negative spin.

It’s the thought process that it might “turn them gay”. It’s disgusting. If your child is gay - so WHAT?! Is that really the worst thing your child could be?
No one has a child expecting them to be gay but really I don’t see an issue if they were.

It just shows your homophobic side and it riles me up the wrong way.

I usually give cut up penne but he finds it too slippery, I think orzo will be too small. Need a pasta, not spaghetti

Incog conundrum

Do you often hold off commenting on posts because there’s no way to comment anonymously?

There’s been a number of posts which I would have really liked to share my thoughts, feelings, experiences but they’ve maybe just been a little too personal or whatever for me to want to put my name and face to.

Like I know that making comments incognito as well as posts would probably open up a whole new can of worms in terms of hate, trolls and bullying, but I would definitely feel more confident getting involved if it were an option.
