Naps in the day - partners suggestion not sure if right or not - feels wrong

Partner is saying to make our 5 month old baby nap in the day we should just put him into his cot at specific times even if he’s wide awake and just let him cry until he falls asleep. Is this the right way??? Feels wrong to me, shouldn’t we try to get them sleepy or asleep first?

Babies can’t self settle until they are much older and that’s why the ‘cry it out’ method is not suggested anymore. Please don’t let your baby lie there all alone and cry 😢 go with your motherly instincts. There are some great sleep training methods that don’t require the baby to cry alone, he is still so little and will still feel like he is a part of you. X

Yes def get him sleepy/ asleep first and when he is in a deep sleep transfer over. My little one only lasts about 10 mins on his own after transferring so I do mainly all contact naps. I hope he transfers for you. white noise also helps x

Napper/Huckleberry

Hi all, do many people use Napper/Huckleberry? If so, do you feel it is actually beneficial?

Also, is it best to get the paid version?

Tired of hurting.

I just moved in with my best friend today after an awful break up. She has a new boyfriend and he was saying things that didn’t add up. Saying he was in the military, was in war and has ptsd from shooting people, etc. he’s only 20 and only graduated from high school 2 years ago in June. He lied about getting in a bar fight and almost killing someone when in fact he had charges for stealing and using someone’s debit card. I brought these up to her which she then told her sister I blew it out of proportion and she left for the weekend… I’m having a really hard time because I just want to feel like I’m not upsetting someone for once. I looked into these things because he’s going to be around my baby. I’m just tired of hurting.

Feeding issues

Hi all!
My baby has been constantly crying , more so starts evening time, she’s inconsolable. I’m an over supplier and I’m not sure if she’s just getting top layer of my milk causing digestive issues. She also had tongue tie which was done 2 days ago (she’s 5 weeks)
I’m at a loss, I’m so unhappy with my breast feeding journey so far, ay one point I’m crying so much my husband looked at me like I need to be sectioned. It seems silly to stop feeding if I have plenty of milk but I feel like it’s causing a lot of issues for my baby, tongue tie didn’t help either

What do I do? Do I end my bf journey here for my sanity and fit her as she may not be getting the bottom layer of my milk
I’m just drowning her with my let downs and the watery bit of my milk

(I don’t want to pump before I feed every time to get rid of some, it’s exhausting enough)

My boy has just turned 16 months, and already UC are starting to book 3 monthly calls with me with regards to work. My 1st call was 3 months ago , and I had to upload my CV.

I thought they didn't expect you to start looking for work until your child was 3 year old?

I've never been on UC before so if anyone can give me some more info please
