Baby in own room

My boy is 7.5m old and put him in his own room night! He’s currently asleep on me before I transfer him and I’m not sure how I’m feeling about it 😭. Did anyone’s baby actually sleep better in their own room? I feel like I am waking him up when he’s in with us, he’s breastfed so will wake 1-3 times a night it really depends but 🤞🏼 it helps him have a longer stretch! Plus he’ll be able to roll to his front a lot better!

How did everyone’s first few nights go with their own rooms?

My daughter was 2.5 when we moved her into her room, so probably a little different. there was a lot of waking up and going in to resettle her - I’m pretty sure I was sleepwalking after a while but it’s just an adjustment for everyone. The hardest part was me getting used to not having her there 😅

We’ve only done one night so far, she woke up once at about 11:45 and settled again with some face stroking pretty quickly. Then it hit 2-2:30am and she just was not having it, there was no way to put her back to sleep so it ended with me taking her downstairs and having her lie on the sofa with me. I’d say until 2-2:30 was pretty great for a first night

Which is more important to you?

My mom and my husband dont get along.. at all. It has been putting a strain on my marriage and I'm honestly so tired of trying to keep everyone happy. I really just want to focus on my baby and repairing my marriage. Especially since its been super stressful as first time parents to a 3 month old. I feel bad that I'm kinda giving up on my relationship with my mom but it has been like this for years and I cant keep doing it. These issues have also been contributing to my PPD.

MUMS WHO CO-SLEEP AND HAVE A SEX LIFE

do you even exist?! I haven't had sex with my hubby since baby was born (5 months ago...). my baby WON'T sleep in a crib more than 5 minutes, and we live with more people in the house, so our only option is the bedroom. We don't have much support, and only my mom has watched him for a couple of hours a few times, but she lives far from us. I don't know what to do anymore, we both definitely need it!! please share your tips or advice

Inexpensive full size mattress suggestions

So we are in the “I want to sleep with mommy” phase so I end up sleeping half the night in my daughters room so she doesn’t wake up daddy. It’s fine, but her mattress is sooooo uncomfortable it’s not even funny. I wake up and everything hurts (which might be why she won’t sleep through the night anymore). Do yall have any mattress suggestions?

Does anyone else have a baby that’s an emotional manipulator?

Totally joking, they’re just babies obviously lol. But my daughter loves to play games with us and is very expressive with her faces. I just gave her a kiss on the forehead and she starts to pretend like she’s going to cry. Even though I know she’s messing around I apologize only for her to give me the biggest, most shit-eating smirk possible like some evil villain and when I call her out for it she starts laughing😭 baby girl, you’re only 11 weeks old… you can’t be slick like that yet lmao
