C section

What’s peoples experience with c sections?
I have pretty bad emetophobia and it’s making me so nervous the possibility of one and it making me unwell!
Had my daughter naturally years ago with no issue but I am farrrr more anxious than time round!

I’ve had two C sections due to my health condition

🟢Long story short with my 1st baby I knew at 3* months to ***prepare*** for a C section. So mentally there was no surprises for me that I was to have a C-section, I had plenty of time to educate myself on all the questions I had. I stretched daily, ate well, and exercised. I reapeatedly told me myself daily*

💕”other people’s horror story doesn’t have to be mine, I am ME, not them”

I truly went in with this mindset and was determined to stay positive!

And guess what….my water broke a week before my planned date and I still literally kept my promise to myself to remain calm and pray and tell myself

“Women have been having babies for thousands of years! You are going to be ok!” Lol

I calmly went and showered, shaved, and took some deep breath’s and we headed to the hospital

🔵Then my second I went in with the actual planned date and again I had two wonderful delivery and great healthy recoveries.💕

Just as a devils advocate type of thing as I didn’t have a c-section, I did a natural birth and I was unwell at the start of active labour so I don’t think you can say for sure either way.
I also have emetophobia and was really paranoid about it beforehand, however I can honestly say, at the time, it felt very much like I didn’t care! The contractions took over and that’s all I could really think about. I was ill once on the way to the hospital (so make sure you have supplies to deal with that if you make your own way there) then again when I started on the gas and air in the hospital. Once they moved me to the labour ward I asked for anti sickness which they sorted for me pretty quickly and that was it for being ill.
To put it in perspective I’ve actively avoided going out for food or to other public places due to my phobia for quite a few years now so I know it’s normally a pretty big issue for me.
I did very much try and go with a “what will be, will be” mentality for labour.

Questions from other people?

Anyone else being asked really weird and at times personal questions about having a c section? Like everything from “how many inches do you think they’ll cut you?” to “is your partner happy then since you’re keeping things neat?”

C section

Hey everyone, I’m 37+0 and meant to have a planned C-section (medical reasons) but still haven’t been given a date yet.
Just wondering when you guys got your date and how many weeks you were? Also what week did they book your C-section for?

8w1 day pregnant measuring 5w5ds

Hi, I am 9m pp and got a positive test on 1st April. I had an early scan what should’ve been 6w3d but I was measuring around 5w gestational sac and yolk sac seen… today I went for another scan and I’m measuring 5w5 embryo now seen. I KNOW I ovulated 5 weeks 5 days ago, was expecting to see more. There was a flicker but she couldn’t confidentially say there’s a heartbeat now I’m
So worried we go back on 15th May for another rescan, has this happened to anyone else and everything been ok / not ok?

Anybody else?

I feel like I’m second guessing every symptom I have at the moment and questioning whether it means labour could be starting. Anyone else who has had there baby or maybe this isn’t their first able to help me? For the last few days I’ve been feeling very nauseous and had an upset tummy (if you know what I mean) I feel like my body isn’t working right. Each evening I’ve had stomach pains and cramping for the last 4 nights. Today I also had some intense pains at half 2-4 that I’m sure weren’t contractions (they were bad but only lasting a few seconds and were not on a schedule). I’m really mentally struggling now and need my baby here sooner rather than later. Anyone in a similar boat or had a similar experience. I feel like my mood is plummeting everyday with this waiting around. I’m 38w5ds for reference

Big baby boy!👶🏽🩵

So today I went to my midwives appointment and I’m currently 33 weeks and 6 days pregnant. Last time I had my appointment was the 13th April 2026 and my stomach was measured to be 29cm. Today 1st May, I was measured at 36cm. My midwife was shocked and said that it’s grown 7cm in the span of 2.5 weeks and had to re measure it 3 times to make sure. She asked if it felt heavier which I do ofc. She booked me in with an ultrasound scan to see the baby’s actually growth.
I remember my 2nd ultrasound scan at 20 weeks the lady said that my baby was on the bigger end.

Has anyone experienced this before? Do they induce you or tell you to get a c section? I’m so scared!!
