Our little boy is teething and today is a 3rd day I have to keep him on Tylenol and Motrin around the clock. Did anyone experience smth similar? Having to keep the baby on meds for so long just because of teething? At this point I’m getting worried it could be smth else..we went to urgent care today but they didn’t really find anything. He gets low grade fever very hot on the head and super fussy/crying when Tylenol is wearing off

We haven’t used it around the clock. Definitely have had a night or two where it’s been overnight use but even on the worst days (he’s got three teeth coming in right now) keeping him distracted from the pain is not an easy task but we (I) managed. I also haven’t had to deal with a true fever. He gets hot but after checking his temp it hasn’t been overly high. Just a lot of pain. Wish you luck. Popsicles or breastmilk sicles have worked best for us.

Have them check for an ear infection, Teething affects sinuses. My daughter had gotten sick because of her teething and ended up getting a bacterial ear infection that went unnoticed by urgent care and the emergency room until it had tried to drain into her lymph node expanding it into a big lump and, since it was bacterial, the lymph node necrosed and filled with puss. Thus, becoming an abscess. My poor baby had a fever for 3 weeks because the doctors around here suck and then she had to be life flighted in order for them to drain the abscess. It was horrifying. So, start with this.. if you genuinely feel something is wrong, go into the doctor, have them check for anything that could cause those symptoms. Do not let them "it's hard on the baby to clean their ears because of how little they are, so I can't see the ear drum so we won't check for ear infection" because that's what urgent care told me and I believed them because they are doctors, right?
