Early labour, braxton hicks or kicks?

I went to sleep tonight and got woken up at around 1am with what felt like rippling/squirming sensations from my belly button down to my groin. I can feel terrible lightning crotch and baby is kicking away. I have no pain except for some sore shoulders than ive had for almost my entire third trimester.

There's no rhythm or pattern to this feeling but im wide awake now and its so much worse when I lay down. Is this normal? Is baby just getting into position? Are these just intense braxton hicks?

Is the pain coming from your back to stomach? Do they feel like period pains? Also did you feel at anytime like the baby locked his head into the pelvis?

I've been feeling a bit of pain from my stomach to groin too but I think that's what they call braxton hicks as he's head's already there in place. I'm due on the 24th though

Questions from other people?

Anyone else being asked really weird and at times personal questions about having a c section? Like everything from “how many inches do you think they’ll cut you?” to “is your partner happy then since you’re keeping things neat?”

Anybody else?

I feel like I’m second guessing every symptom I have at the moment and questioning whether it means labour could be starting. Anyone else who has had there baby or maybe this isn’t their first able to help me? For the last few days I’ve been feeling very nauseous and had an upset tummy (if you know what I mean) I feel like my body isn’t working right. Each evening I’ve had stomach pains and cramping for the last 4 nights. Today I also had some intense pains at half 2-4 that I’m sure weren’t contractions (they were bad but only lasting a few seconds and were not on a schedule). I’m really mentally struggling now and need my baby here sooner rather than later. Anyone in a similar boat or had a similar experience. I feel like my mood is plummeting everyday with this waiting around. I’m 38w5ds for reference

Symptoms while teaching

Is anyone else a teacher?

I'm 9+2 and I teach secondary English. I've had a real ramp up in my symptoms and I'm finding it difficult to teach - especially after eating as that's when I'm most nauseous. I had to leave my class period 3 (lesson after break) to be sick three times - I normally have more nausea than actual vomiting. I did go home today after that lesson - I decided my body was telling me to go home and rest.

I was just wondering if there was any specific adjustment I could ask for, or if anyone had any advice for managing symptoms at work while I was teaching.

when did y’all go into labor?

I went to my 39 week appointment today, I’m 39w 2d. My cervix is closed still. If y’all had a closed cervix at 39 weeks when did you go into labor?
