My son’s behaviour has gotten worse he will have a lot of meltdowns more often. It’s almost like he is regressing but I can’t help him. When he has these moments he will literally hit himself so hard on the head or on his face. He is nearly 5 years old is this happening to anyone else’s child?

I know it’s hard but need to take a step back - there could be something hurting him… teeth, migraine or something… my son is non verbal and is now 15 yrs old but I can recall off the wall behavior but it was usually because he couldn’t communicate in a any form to let me know what was wrong… it takes patience as you know - I hope it gets better for you

I have seen some arm locks on the internet that help children who hit themselves frequently throughout the day and continuously, with these locks the child's arms cannot bend.I don't know if they might work in your child's case, but it has helped children with severe autism.
