I always kept my finger on the political pulse around here, but in the last few years a lot has happened that will directly affect my child in the future. So yes, I keep an eye on it. I thoroughly researched all of our school trustee nominations despite there being 16 of them.

I can’t sit back justify how we let a genocide happen in our modern to my children. They will inherit not only this world but the history it experiences.
I didn’t give a flying 💩 about history or politics until I became a mother and saw mothers just like me in Gaza holding their dead children.
Now I’m the biggest political feen simply coz I am a mother.
Gaza opened up the floodgates for me to now care about everything around the world.
Also we live in a world that where we cater to billionaires and pedophiles I’m absolutely protecting my kids at all costs

I’ve always had an interest but I became “radicalized” through motherhood, to me motherhood was almost a baptism by fire into realizing how broken our system is from healthcare, food quality and education to how unfriendly the workforce is to family’s and mothers. I want to be able to say that I at least tried to leave this place better for my kids. And when I felt the pure love as a mother to my children I can’t help but be ten times more empathetic to the mother who illegally crosses a border to give her kids a better life or the mother who’s forced to abort or give her child up for adoption because she can’t afford them, or the mother who’s living under constant bomb threats and occupation, all those kids are just as special as my kids and those moms want what I want for mine
