I am expecting a boy in August and just wondered what is the reason behind getting boys circumcised when not for religious reasons . Does the local hospital do it etc?? A friend has got me really thinking about this

I think you have to pay private. I would say do not do this unless for religious reasons. He can decide when he is older. Unless you have a specific reason as to why you would do this? But if you do decide to, the younger the better, if you read up about it now you can see why. But I was going to then changed my mind. Happy I did not go though with it actually as it didn't feel right

A lot of my friends nowadays are all getting their kids circumcised and not for religious reasons, but because of the the health benefits. Just type it in on google and it you’ll see all the benefits. I just got my 3 week old circumcised this past week for religious reasons and health benefits and it healed so quickly. Just read about it a lot then see how you feel. Also it’s private and you pay private doctors. Mine was £200 and in London.

If not for religious reasons- sincerely it’s no longer a sign of the covenant between Christians and God, I’ll do it because of the look of the penis and 2 the pain. I can’t subject my child to a long life (if i leave it until he decides to do it himself which may be age 20 or more) of a funny looking private and then having to teach him how to be confident about that bit in particular, because frankly most girl mom won’t start teaching their daughters that it’s not a ‘bad’ penis or anything … it’s just not worth it to me

I genuinely have never checked the health benefits of circumcising though except that it’s dead flesh
