Hey Mommas,
I started breastfeeding in the hospital and baby latched really well for about a day until circumstances at the hospital forced us to provide a bottle to baby and now he doesn’t take directly. I’m about a month out and am pumping virtually nothing. I’m getting really frustrated and want to get my supply back up. Any solid advice outside of eating more protein, more water, or pumping more often? I’m worried it’s just over for me. 😞

Take a breath it could be from stress I have been seeing oreos or Dr. Pepper helps with milk production

There is also ways to up your milk production with pumping on the internet that might also help

I only say this because Im 1000% doing it to myself . Stress lowers milk production . I stress about not producing enough and it doesnt help . Im guessing since your a month out feeding are happening every two hours still ? Pump every two hours , get a pump thats good for you . & Find some supplements you dont mind taking . Coconut water , oat meal, brewers yeast , fenugreek all “good” for production . Tons of water . & You HAVE to feed your body to feed baby . Target has pumping supplements & I went to a vitamin cottage , not sure if you have one near you but they have things as well .

Could possibly be the wrong flange size

Try power pumping or making sure you are able to feel/smell baby when you pump. I also personally added a coconut water with a liquid IV for one drink a day and it helped a lot with hydration.
However, don’t stress yourself even if you do decide it’s the end. Pumping is notorious for not producing as much as breast feeding. I understand wanting to continue to provide milk for baby but each time I stopped with one my babies, I felt so much relief not constantly being stressed about production.
