Contact Naps

When did your baby stop contact napping? My son is 21 weeks old and still only contact naps. He won’t go down for a nap at all. He sleeps in his next to me at bedtime but not during the day he wakes up straight away.

Was anyone else’s baby the same? What did you do to change it? I don’t mind the contact naps at all I love that he only sleeps on me. However I’m sick of not being able to get anything done during the day when I’m on my own.

7.5 months before I could reliably put her down for a nap in her cot. Sometimes when she was younger could put her down in a Moses basket but it was quickly outgrown. Or she’d have pram naps and stay sleeping a bit once we got home.

Since about 11 weeks, my LO will only sleep in her bassinet. She won't contact nap anymore. She was attached to be before, and suddenly, one day, it all changed. I longed for her to have a bassinet nap, but now all I wish for is a contact nap. I wanted time to get things done, but when she is down, I just stare at her on the monitor and still get nothing done 🫠. She's 3 and half months, so I'm expecting the regression to hit and contact naps might become a thing again.

Night time feeds taking over a hour

What am I doing wrong 😭 every time my girl wakes up it takes me about a hour to feed and get her back to sleep. I breast feed untill calm then nappy change, give half breast milk in a bottle , burp then rest of bottle then she falls asleep and then frantically moves and does a poo. Then I change nappy and she’s screaming..then I give breast to calm then hold her for 15-20 mins to settle before putting down then pump and before you know it it’s been 1-2 hrs and then half way due the next feed 😭😭 (happens like this or some variant of this)

since she was born husband first feeds while I pump but he’s back to work now and needs sleep as operates vehicle and is on a work site.

I sometimes just BF but when I do this she falls asleep too soon and sleep is far more broken for me. After 5/6AM I just BF and have her in bed with me

When to stop Co-sleep

My baby is currently 7weeks old and I don't know when to start training her to sleep on her own. I love sleeping with her and she sleeps so good with me or my husband but I know at some point she needs to be in her crib. When did you guys start putting your babies to sleep on their own and what tips do you have to help a clingy baby sleep alone?

My daughter (3yo) just woke up terrified at 4:30am...

She got out of bed screaming, me and my partner went in her room and she was terrified saying something was in her bed. I looked and she peed her bed so I assumed it was just that. She refused to get back in bed she was literally shaking she was so scared... I brought her in my room and she did the same thing when I tried to put the blanket on... She won't let me put her down at all... I had to ask my partner to call off work because I also have an 8mo...she keeps saying it's a wormy and wormy bit her on the leg. Theres no bite, I thought maybe a snake got in but I dont see anything in her room... She is just so scared and I don't know what to do... Everytime I out her on my bed she creeks out... And even when we hold her occasionally she still freaks out saying the wormy is back... I don't know what scare dher but it scared her good...
