bleeding

i’m 3 weeks postpartum and i keep getting bright red blood again. some days it’s pink, some days it’s brown, but at some point each day i get right red again. it happens often after i have a bowel movement but im not sure if i should be concerned with it? it’s nothing excessive at all, i dont fill a pad or anything but its RED again and a decent amount. anyone else still have red bleeding?

It could be a hemorrhoid. I also had a similar situation I am 4 weeks out and still have some spotting. If you are concerned call your doctor for sure.

It's normal to experience bright red at 3 weeks. That's still early in your postpartum healing after natural birth. If it doesn't stop at 6-8 weeks of healing or the bleeding is excessive or both, I would call the doctor.

Help for other Mothers!

Hi Everyone, a friend of mine has just had an emergency c-section. I've had 2 emergencies myself and I've decided to write a list of tips for her to make her life easier/healing better for when she's home.

Please leave your best tips below so I can add them to the list and so other expecting mums can see!

Thanks in advance!

how do you accept and make peace with the fact that invisible labor probably won't be acknowledged and appreciated?

I don't know if I should just accept it or what

Colostrum- planned c-section

I had my 36week appointment today and will be having a C-section at 38weeks. I asked about harvesting colostrum and the midwife told me not to do it before birth due to planned C-section.
I didn’t get this advice with my first and did collect colostrum that time.
Has anyone else having a planned C-section been told not to harvest colostrum?

Csection scar not healing

It’s really getting me down feel like I won’t be the same again and it’ll be reoccurring 😭

Has anyone else had problems with tiny holes in their csection scar not healing? I’ve been on antibiotics for infection which has gone but there are three tiny holes near the centre that heal over and then pop open again as soon as I do a little more e.g going to baby class or getting pram in and out of the car / lifting baba in his car seat as he’s getting heavy now.

I didn’t have these holes at the start they first opened up after my 6 week check when I started doing more etc

10 weeks pp
