Todays my due date and I had a membrane sweep at 2:30. I went for a walk for like 30 minutes after and now I’ve been having bad contractions. They are lasting 30-40 seconds and happening every 1-2 minutes for like an hour. Is this active labor? The pain is pretty bad

I would say drink some water and lay down and go from there. I follow the 511 rule so contraction is five minutes apart lasting at least one minute for one hour. You could be dehydrated or because you went for a walk. It has kind of ramped up your Braxton Hicks. Also, are they getting more intense? Have you had a bloody show and mucus plug loss? You could be an early labor which I experienced for five days after my membrane sweep before I went into actual labor in which the hospital but it cannot hurt to the labor and delivering but me personally with my second baby I wanted to wait, absolutely as long as possible to avoid any type of intervention. Because my first ended in C-section, which didn’t have to be that way if I would’ve done things differently, which I did the second time around and had a vaginal birth. It also depends on how far away you are from the hospital if you’re pretty close and this is your first baby you can probably wait a little bit longer
