How do you handle playdates at other peoples house ?

Recently became good friends with a neighbor her daughter is a little over 2.5 years old and mine is a little over 1.5 years old. When we go over she sometimes plays videos which is fine but I really try to be mindful what I play for my daughter. For example she plays a lot of those annoying YouTube videos like baby shark etc. and idk how to tell her to turn it off or change it?? I just kept asking what else she likes to watch šŸ˜‚ but also her daughter is on a completely different sleep schedule than mine. Her daughter doesn’t sleep till like 2am and will nap at like 5 or 6pm so she’s not up in the mornings and when we are and we end up playing later which means her daughter slips her nap or just takes it when we leave at like 8pm. But I feel bad cause she will cook but it won’t be done until late and then my daughter goes to bed late which I really hate.. but I don’t want to be rude when she’s cooking for us and inviting us šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø idk am I overreacting?

If you come over, say beforehand that you have to leave early. So that your friend doesn't make dinner and that you dont feel obligated to stay for dinner time. So your baby can sleep earlier

Usually I do that if I hang out with friends. I say in the beginning that I cant stay long and I make some excuse like I have to do laundry or something.

The big move

We’ve officially moved our daughter to her cot! At the end of our bed 🤣

Although it seems like a big move I’m glad she’s still in our room 🫣

Reflux/ Gas issues

I feel like I’m at a dead end with this. My 7 week old will fuss for hours and bend awfully in my arms and rocker. He’s clearly uncomfortable but I’ve tried everything to help. Sitting him up after feeds, burping every now and then during feeds, belly massages and bicycle runs, gripe water. You name it I’ve done it. It breaks my heart, I hate seeing my baby in discomfort, please say there’s other things I can do :(

Toddler moms

Hey I have a question. My son took his diaper off and he put poop everywhere in his bed. What does this mean? He is only 11 months and 4 weeks

Dog problems.

I have a patterdale terrier, he’s 2 years old at the end of May and he is intact(still has balls). My son is 11 months old so he is quite mobile and crawls everywhere/walks with help. When my son turned 9 months old and started crawling my dog has growled and snapped at my son and sometimes bit his fingers. I have tried calm and relaxed treats when he’s being good and saying no and sending him to his crate but that’s not helped. I recently got my son has a playpen in the living room and my dog tries to bite him through the netting. Sometimes my dog would just lick his hands and walk away and other times he’s biting at him so I’m conflicted on how to stop the aggression. My mum said to get the dog castrated but my partner (my son’s dad) said no and he’s pretty adamant about keeping the dogs balls so my mum then said to rehome the dog but we’ve had the dog since he was 8 weeks old and I don’t want to rehome him because I’m scared he’ll get rehomed to the wrong person and he doesn’t like people as it is so it would be very difficult to rehome him so I don’t want that to be an option. We live in a small house so there’s no real way of separating the dog and baby. I don’t know what to do and to top it off I’m pregnant with baby number 2 who’s due in August so we are adding another baby to the mix and the aggression towards my 11 month old it causing me stress.

Police

Has anyone else been in a situation where a neighbour has called the police anonymously due to hearing your baby crying? Had 3 police officers turn up at my property to check the kids as someone called to hear them crying. I’m so fuming and upset. I mean if a baby is going to cry they are going to cry.. that’s really upset my evening. They came checked my kids who are sleeping and left.

Hormones or am I just nuts

Yall I have never had such a short fuse. Yesterday I was hitting against a backboard at a public tennis court and had to leave because a group of young 20 something’s asked if they could share the court (not really a big deal but it felt like such an attack in the moment because no, you really can’t share a court that way but I was to frazzled to explain that calmly). So I came home and scream cried.

Then today I found out the $200 shipment I splurged on of magnetic me baby clothes was stolen off my front porch in about a 15 minute time window between when it was dropped and when I left to the said tennis court of terrors. If any of you are survivor fans, I’m like Liz like every other day for the past week. IM PISSED šŸ˜‚šŸ˜ little things feel like frickin mountains!

So yeah how do yall handle mood swings!? Bc right now I’m like a bomb that randomly explodes into hysterical crying. My poor husband does not know what to do lol.
