Induction

So there is a high chance I’ll be induced unless I go into labour naturally before my due date.

I had an emergency c-section with my first baby and was told at my consultant appointment yesterday that I should avoid any hormone methods of induction as this can increase my risk of uterine rupture has anyone else been told similar ?

The risk of uterine rupture for a VBAC is 0.5% (1 in 200) and with the hormone drip it increases to roughly 1% ish (1 in 100). So still really low. It still gives you a 99% chance of no rupture. Consultants are risk adverse whereas midwives work with risk to try and achieve your VBAC.

The risk is low and it can be lowered a little by requesting the hormone drip is administered slowly to give your body time to adjust to each level without things becoming too intense too quickly.

You'll be monitored continuously and if they suspect a uterine rupture they will do a section before anything bad happens. ❤️❤️❤️

Yeah, the risk is still low though. Maybe ask for the balloon or rods? Xxx

Subchrorionic haematoma

Had out first scan today at the hospital, saw the little heartbeat and measuring 6+4🥰
We also found out I have a subchrorionic haematoma, just wondering if anyone’s else has had or has one and if so was/is everything okay? We’ve waited so long and tried so hard for this baby and just worried. Booked in for another scan in a couple weeks but just curious
I work in a kitchen so my jobs very hands on which I know won’t help🙃

20 week scan call back

Had my 20 week scan last week and was told I have a low lying placenta with lots of scar tissue from previous c section. Was told I’d need to go back at 32 weeks for scan. Just received call from hospital saying consultant has reviewed scanphotos and needs to see me next week regarding placenta. Now I am STRESSED! Any ideas why they would call me back so soon and what it could be about ??!?

C section?

I am currently 31 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby and I’m not sure whether I’ll be having a c section. My last baby was born via planned section due to having low lying placenta which didn’t move but the other 2 were vaginal births although with my first I had forceps and second I had vacuum. So I have always had intervention due to the placentas. With this one I have low pap A so again that is to do with the placenta. What are the chances of me having a c section again and when will I find out?

Waters being broken

I am 39+6 I have come into hospital as I have had some bleeding. I am also having contractions but I am only 1cm. I have been told I won’t be leaving the hospital without my baby and the plan is they are going to break my waters and put me on the hormone drip. Has anyone had this before or had waters broken and put on the drip?

Private room at Frimley park hospital/ park side

Hi! Has anyone stayed in a private room in park side or on the postnatal ward at FPH and know whether this is possible after a c-section? I found it really hard to relax or sleep for the 3 days I was there after having my son a few years ago because it was so noisy and busy, and would love a different experience this time 🤞🏻
