Fluid on chest

Freaking out, been for a private gender scan and the sonographer noticed fluid on the right side of the chest, waiting for a nhs scan but has anyone else had this? Trying (but failing) not to panic

Bless you. So worrying for you and your family. From experience it’s more of a worry when baby has lots of fluid behind the head and neck area. I think fluid can come and go they’ll probably book you in for a couple of scans to monitor it and hopefully it would’ve gone by the time your next scan comes round. Wishing you all the best x

I haven’t been through this, but I have been for a Fetal heart scan due to myself having a pre existing heart condition. You’ll likely get referred to the Evalina paediatric cardiology department at St Thomas’ (based on your location) and they are really thorough and reassuring. Hopefully it’s something that can clear with time or has been spotted early enough for action to be taken but I can’t imagine you’ll wait long to be referred.

Thank you both appreciate your messages, been at the hospital after the scan and they are trying to get me seen for a scan at kings fetal medicine (I had to go there last time with my first but just due to her being small, she was fine thankfully), early next week. So hoping this will give me answers so so scary. Go for a gender scan expecting to just find out what you are having and didn’t expect anything wrong, her blood work was perfect and the 12 week scan. Thank you for your replies I really appreciate it xx

Kinda a vent(idek)

Hey so I had my baby boy on December 12th and today I had finally accepted the fact that me has basically outgrown all of his 0-3 months clothes. So today I’m gonna go through them n pack them away. Is anyone else feeling sad but happy at the same time while they do for there little one?

Bloody show and then nothing?

I had a bloody show 44 hours ago (Weds evening) and no contractions since. Has anyone else experienced this? Baby still moving as normal and don’t think my waters have gone

Postpartum bleeding.

Hi Mammas!

I’m 12 weeks postpartum and still bleeding. Has anyone experienced this? Is it time I go the doctors?

Let me know your thoughts?

It’s not bright red blood, it’s brown sticky and only using pantie liners..

6 week examination

hi mums!

posting this as i’m almost 7 months PP& just remembered i didn’t get an in person 6 week check up? just a 5 minute phone call from the doctors. As i had quite a traumatic birth emergency cat1 c section & a 2L blood loss i was kind of expecting to be seen in person. Was anyone else’s “check up” over the phone?
